CANASTOTA, NY - NOVEMBER 17, 2016 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame will release the names of the Class of 2017 on Tuesday, December 6th at 1 p.m.

According to one Ryan Bivins of SB Nation these are possible candidates; does anyone know of a more official list?

So many more deserving fighters than Margarito, Griffin and Joppy! A sad list really.

Hard to take the HOF seriously when they've never put Don Elbaum in. Man worked for sixty years keeping boxing alive in every forgotten corner of the United States. He promoted tons of great fighters and even more not so great ones. He made heroes of local stars all over the USA. It's a crime he isn't in the HOF.

There are 30 names to chose from in the "Modern" category:

Yuri Arbachakov
Paulie Ayala
Marco Antonio Barrera
Nigel Benn
Sot Chitalada
Donald Curry
Chris Eubank
Leo Gamez
Genaro Hernandez
Evander Holifield
Julian Jackson
Santos Laciar
Rocky Lockridge
Miguel Lora
Buddy McGirt
Henry Maske
Dariusz Michalczewski
Sung-Kil Moon
Michael Moorer
Orzubek Nazarov
Sven Ottke
Vinny Pazienza
Gilberto Roman
Gianfranco Rosi
Samuel Serrano
Johnny Tapia
Meldrick Taylor
Fernando Vargas
Wilfredo Vazquez
Ratanapol Sor Vorapin

Barrera and Evander should be locks.
Who the 3rd inductee will be, is more uncertain, imo.

Tried finding this out but it seems like it's a state secret.
Holyfield and Barrera have to be locks; whoever else gets in from the Modern's will look bad in comparison. If the voters know boxing it would be someone like Rocky Lockridge. If people that don't know boxing, it will probably be someone like Dariusz Michalczewski.

How about Vinny Pazienza based on (what we talk of once before) popularity? - If I was a betting man and I am I would go with Pazienza (as this year's 'shouldn't be there')

Holyfield and mab are Atg fighters. The lack of knowledge with voters will elect tapia. Off of that list laciar would be my third. Michalczewski is also deserving

I can't find anything either!

Also, I hate their new categories. Actually, they are called the same as before, but it's all now completely ****ed up! Jack "Kid" Berg (active 1924-1945) in the "Modern" group - while Masao Ohba (active 1966-1973) is an "Oldtimer"! How does that make any sense??

The "Old-Timers" this year to vote for are fighters from 1943-1988. About 36 names on ballot
