watch what you say on this subject its my opinion I have no issue with any one......the only issue I have is people saying its good that a cruiserweight fights a jr middleweight and whoever wants to twist my view and say lay your cards on the table you have this or that with me so watch out if you don't go along with these people who love that idea.............I just hope that both men get to enjoy the loot that they'll get and remember how to spend it....threated because I don't agree with your stupid view

I am / was suprised that Mundine took the fight , he won the first , and for all the crying that Green done about being underweight ect ect .. he was ok when he beat all the others , and lost to the german at super middle ... I just would of thought that Choc had enough money he could / would of sat on his win and told Green to get stuffed .

But he did take it , and decided to prostitute himself , i just hope that the powers that be INSIST , the weights are close because at to low a weight Choc can get hurt ,

No, not the last time I looked in the mirror, anyway. But I do agree with The Roar's new author when he says :

"For whatever reason you will watch it."

Whether people watch it or not, and most will watch it regardless of their unconvincing claims to the contrary, far and away the majority of boxing fans will follow this fight keen to know how it plays out.

I'll take it that you're saying that 'tongue in cheek' surely. I cannot for ONE second believe that guy is a legit article writer for 'The Roar'. It's sad.

234 comments so far!

... But no 'tall poppies' on this thread will be watching the fight of course! Makes me laugh at all the very sad'tall poppies' on here. You must have 'fantastic' lives, full of 'hot air' promise.

 @ the people who think the amount of replies on a message board means people here will watch the fight live. That means threads that go for pages in past like Mundine vs Tolliver had everyone watching.

NOBODY was keen on Mundine vs Toliver. People only posted about the fight because Mundine was in it and because nobody thought for a minute Toliver had a chance in hell of winning.

Toliver was a club fighter better known as a sparring partner to better credentialed fighters. He was an absolute no-name and the fight was held in New Zealand.

Green and Mundine on the other hand are both extremely high profile in Australia. Have been for well over 10 years. This is more like the boxing equivalent of Holden vs Ford. That's how polarized people are over Green and Mundine.

Comparing Green vs Mundine to Mundine vs Toliver is just plain laughable

Why? Because there are TWO sides to discussion on the Green vs Mundine fight. Not just endless criticism for what a poor opponent Toliver was.

Those who don't watch Green vs Mundine live, and many thousands will watch it either at the venue or PPV, will follow it one way or another, keen to know how it plays out.

3/4 of the posts on this fight are bagging it. Yet you think those bagging it are tall poppies who will watch it  A jmw knocked down 9 times in his last 3 fights fighting at 83kg. Just as big of a joke as Mundine-Tolliver IMO. :TU:

You claim "3/4 of the posts on this fight are bagging it."

- There are 248 posts in the thread relevant to this fight and you are trying to claim 186 of them are bagging the fight. Count again

The fight is "just as big of a joke as Mundine-Tolliver' in your opinion?

- You are entitled to that opinion but few would share it. Toliver was a club fighter better known as a sparring partner to better fighters. He was a no-name. Green and Mundine are household names in Australia, of similar age, and with similar records. They also have a decade long rivalry, know how to sell a fight and people will buy this fight in droves, whether they attend it or buy it on PPV :OhYes:

"Nobody forced Mundine to take the fight".

- Does that sound familiar? It should, they are your words

You claim I said "those bagging the fight are tall poppies who will watch it."

Show me where I said 'tall poppies" even once. Good luck with that because I haven't even used the expression

The capacity of Adelaide oval is now well over 50,000. I know with rock concerts it is usually the cheap tickets that sell out first. Makes sense too. How many people can afford or justify spending $500 or even $300 per ticket, when you can get them for $150?
