Bellew has NO chance against Haye

Post by kbackup408 »

A blown up light-heavyweight going up to fight a killer at HW is a joke, it was all fun and games post fight when Bellew beat BJ Flores but this is borderline sucidial !

I reckon brook could probably stay out of trouble longer than Bellew will.

I agree

I think Haye will hurt Bellew with pretty much everything he lands, and I imagine that he'll start landing pretty quickly. Bellew is slow on his feet and still fights with little head movement and his chin up in the air, as seen when he was dropped by the first notable punch Makabu threw.

Fight will sell to the casuals, many will believe Bellew can win after the hype leading up to the figh, then the same people be moaning when Haye knocks him out in 2 rounds.

Mismatch which Haye wins with the first punch he lands

Haye’s legs have not “gone”....where the hell have they gone to? Complete and utter garbage imo - no offence meant by the way to the person in this thread that said it :TU:
David Haye is a fairly young man that’s been a runner and an athlete half his life or more, and is genetically excellent.
Don’t get me wrong, Bellew is not without a chance......is Haye not coming down here? Bellew is jumping up to Heavyweight??........I think that’s dangerous territory for him. Haye knows the right tricks - he is guaranteed to land clean shots, imo.

You hit a 6 with this comment. Haye is still sharp despite his inactivity the biggest factor is Bellew fighting at HW. He will find out in round 1 why weight classes matter Bellew made a big mistake but should be fun whilst it lasts !

bellew certainly isn't lacking in the balls department taking this fight . i just hope he gets the pay day he is hoping for, it could be a very hard but quick night for him.

Agreed mate, Bellew has balls of steel from 175 to heavyweight jumping these weight classes like a performing horse. I reckon this PPV will do well Sky will build it up like a football final

Toney Bellew must have 5 to 10 million “in the bank”. Maybe nearer the 5. One would presume that he will be on Royalties for life thanks to the Rocky gig - and because of his outspoken nature and down-to-Earth manner, he will be guaranteed work on the after dinner circuit, not no mention punditry jobs. I just see this as a completely unnecessary risk!
I don’t really watch him but I think Bellew has the power to cause a stoppage against David Haye, in theory, but the rub is that Haye can definitely stop Bellew, pretty much as soon as he lands.

I know pal when Bellew retires he won't be short of work can see him ripping people apart as a pundit and giving his OTT opinions. I reckon if Haye catches Bellew thats it can't see him standing up and fighting on despite his big heart

I don't agree with this. I think the Briedis fight would have gone exactly the same way as this fight will. So really he's taking the more financially rewarding defeat.

Bellew seemed wary of Stevenson's speed and power to the point where he did very little.

Be interesting to see if he fights differently vs Haye.
