Is GGG getting lured into inactivity and ring rust ?

Why feel sorry for a man that has spent the last four or five years boasting that he was easily capable of competing and defeating any fighter from 154lbs to 175lbs, coupled with the fact his trainer regularly boasts how GGG dominates world-rated cruiserweights with ease, yet he insists on remaining well within his 160lbs comfort zone, where the talent pool is shallow and big payday opportunities are minimal?

It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan of Golovkin’s or not, but the nature of his claims should be confusing to most of us, because why bother to repeat the same assertions so regularly if you then flatly-refuse to prove the validity of those boasts inside the ring?

However, if you wholeheartedly endorse his decision-making, you cannot possibly feel sorry for him, because the consequences of his actions are abundantly obvious.

The only other option is for HBO & K2 to pay the fight purses demanded by GGG’s 160lbs peers.

But, if he wants to be P4P # 1 he needs to move up. 3G will be waiting to unify and fight GingerHead until he 37 or 38 the way it is going. Plus, there are too many up and comers like Loma and Crawford and Ward who are doing more than 3G.

3G is a favorite of mine and it is despicable that the MW champs and GingerHead keep delaying fighting him but he has to face reality and go up to 168 if he wants to be the best of the best.

Ward is P4P # 1 for me. Deal with it.

Doubt it... looks like Andy Lee is the next for GGG in March 2017. Who knows what kind of situation happens until then. Jacobs getting KTFO by Canelo, GGG gets injured, etc. I'd say more 2018 than 2017. Time is short.

You know what's sad with this masquerade , is Jacobs and BJS are acting like are some PPV stars and GGG is some kind of contender, when in reality Saunders and Jacobs are on par with Lemieux and Murray(when they fought GGG).

These other guys aren't fighting because they're injured or they don't want to fight... Golovkin has tried to sign with Canelo, Saunders, Eubank, and Jacobs and it's been a nightmare... He'll have 5 rounds of action this year and 2 partial rounds... That's not enough activity for a puncher who knocks everybody out... He wants to fight 4 times a year and part of the strategy is to get him ring rusty.

I remember Sonny Liston fighting only 3 rounds in 3 years before he fought Cassuius Clay (later Ali) ... His 2 Patterson fights were over in a flash and he could only get one other opponent into the ring in that period.. I noticed his inactivity and predicted Clay would win.. You have to stay busy if you're a puncher... George Foreman never went to the end of the 2nd round in the 3 years before he fought Ali... I noticed that... That doesn't help.

Yeah a fighter with GGG's style has to stay active as much as he can. His management would dump him like a horse is dumping his sshit if he gets beaten. Golovkin should've fought Heiland.
