Lomachenko THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED
Lomachenko THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED
If you clicked into this post then congratulations, you are part of the problem. You probably thought that you were strolling into another Lomachenko lovefest like the rest of these darn posts in here. Wrong. This is a "come to Jesus" meeting. Ever see that show "scared straight"? Same thing. One post after another, Loma is #1 P4P...Loma is the greatest...Loma could have beaten Tyson in his prime..heck, I just pulled out of a post comparing Loma to Floyd. FLLLLOYYYYYYD?!!! Consider this an intervention...because you have a problem.
Let's put things back into perspective, boxing community. Max and HBO got you all acting crazy. Lomachenko has had EIGHT fights. 8, if you prefer to see it numerically. He's lost ONE, 1. This wasn't ten, 10, years ago...this was just two (2) short years ago. Did i mention that he lost to a 34 year old boxer who's names never come close to any P4P top 20 list. Let's also call it correctly...Walters quit and never even wanted to be in this fight. This wasn't the Axe Man in the ring. This guy went in looking for a way out from the start. A boxer doesn't just decide to quit all of a sudden in a fight. That thought has to be in their squash from the start. So put that into perspective please.
Is Lomachenko fantastic? Yes. But only the ridiculous would put him in the P4P discussion. Let's leave that to the boxers that have earned it. TOO SOON people. WAY TOOO SOON. I'm embarrassed for you.

Yes it's pretty silly, he is an exceptional fighter, but he's not even had a career yet. I expect him to go on to do great things, but he's got to go and actually, you know, DO them.

Re: Lomachenko THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED
What is funny is the fact that Loma was being touted as the greatest boxer ever before his first professional fight, although the true Lomachenkolytes will be quick to point out that (in their pea corrals) he had various numbers of pro matches somewhere east of Poland, sometime prior to 2014. They will also point out accurately that Salido pulled an FMJ (vJMM) fooljitsu move on Loma, consciously showing up a leftover turkey dinner north of the contracted weight.
Not all kidding aside, Lomachenkolytes actually make arguments that, after losing to the Ukrainian, most of his victims are HOF material. In case you were away, Gary Russell Jr is greater than ODLH and Tito since losing to Loma. Walters did not quit because somewhere between 126 and 130 he left his heart and axe behind. Oh no, Walters was beaten and humbled and on the verge of collapsing in a heap of bloody pulp. Indeed, beating a potential HOFer like Walters is clear and convincing evidence that their lord and savior has indeed ascended to P4P #1, where he has belonged since before another HOFer had to cheat horrendgously in order to rob Lomassiah of his rightful place at the head of all GOATs table.
Furthermore, anyone who does not agree with every detail of the scriptures according to Lomachenkolytes cannot be a fan of Lomassiah and shall be targeted for their blasphemy against their lord and saviour.

You're not as clever as you think you are. The title of this thread was obviously sarcastic, I doubt anyone clicked this link thinking they were going to read an argument for Lomachenko being the greatest boxer that ever lived.
Your point is correct though.

No, he is lacking important skills: grabbing, elbows, low blows, headbutts, rabbit punches. He needs to work on those to become a real master technician.

what has the number of fights to do with the skills you possess as a boxer.
anybody with or without a knowledge of boxing could see only after 8 fights that roy jones talent was something very rare. why cant you accept the fact that lomas talent is very rare?

Is Lomachenko considered the greatest amateur boxer ever?
Re: Lomachenko THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED
james toney was the p4p king back than, had around 44 fights and lost like every round to roy who had had only around 24. usyk only had 8 or 9 fights and completly dominated glowacki who had much more fights than him. number of fights and skills are 2 different things.Jip wrote:caldo2025 wrote:If you clicked into this post then congratulations, you are part of the problem. yes. 396-1 was his record. arguably the most impressiv record any athlete in any sport has ever had. 2 gold medals in that time period.
Re: Lomachenko THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED
Indeed, the lord and savior Lomassiah is incapable of fouling. If you see his holiness consciously pull an opponents gloves down in order to land a punch it is simply an aberration. If Lomassiah lands a low blow it is because the opponent's shwortz are too high.
Anyone who claims otherwise shall be subjected to ridicule and public shaming by the hatchlinghood of Lomachenkolytes.

Re: Lomachenko THE GREATEST BOXER THAT EVER LIVED
I think people need to get perspective where Lomachenko is concerned, his skills definitely look P4P - BUT...and it's a BUT as big as Kimmies, part of being P4P, in fact perhaps the largest part, is your career, who you have fought, and beaten, and lost to, and there is no way on god's green earth that Lomachenko is P4P #1 on that basis now, let alone all time. He may go on to do it, and I think the manner of his victories suggests he may be top 5 P4P right now, maybe, but let's see how his career pans out, way too early to call yet.

exactly. its weird init mate- I like Lomachenko, always have, I sent breathless girly texts about him to a mate during the 2012 Olympics, extolling his style and ability. and yet, and yet, and yet- some of the poo on here very briefly made me hope for a 'back down to earth' moment for him. maybe not a loss, maybe a 'tougher than expected' outing against someone like Zlat, you know what i mean? cos the stuff coming out about how he was doing stuff NOBODY has done before, and would beat Floyd... sheesh.

Lomassiah is . . . reactions do not exist in his realm. Those who cling to reactions lack the blind faith necessary to be Lomachenkolytes.Impractical Poster wrote:Interesting reactions in this thread.
