Brandon Ogilvie vs George Kambosos - December 2nd in Sydney
Brandon Ogilvie has just signed to fight George Kambosos in December in Sydney.
There you go. One of the fights we have been waiting for has actually been made.
Probably the best two lightweights in Australia getting it on later this year.

Re: Brandon Ogilvie vs George Kambosos - Sydney in December
Another one bites the dust it seems.
http://www.aus-boxing.com/2016/09/29/ge ... alled-off/
Brandon Ogilvie vs George Kambosos Jr. is off.
While the particulars are yet to be released, it appears as if a contract dispute and a lack of funding from initial event promoter Whack Promotions has caused the December 4th fight to fall over.
Ogilvie will now defend his WBA Oceania lightweight belt against Thai import Amphon Suriyo in Bunbury, WA, on October 15th.
Ogilvie was set to partake in a two-fight deal with Whack Promotions that was to culminate in Ogilvie vs George Kambosos. However, a dispute between Whack promotions and Ogilvie’s camp has placed the fight in limbo.

Re: Brandon Ogilvie vs George Kambosos - December 3rd in Sydney
Darragh Foley's prediction for this fight :
“I think Ogilive wins and I’m not just saying that because he beat me. Kambosos hasn’t fought anyone.”
“He is putting all this stuff up on social media that he has beaten all these world ranked fighters. I think he is a bit delusional. But he may show up and put on a beating on Ogilvie for ten rounds, or maybe reality might smack him in the face.”
“I think that’s what’s going to happen.”

George Kambosos:
“I’m confident. I talk the talk and walk the walk. When he comes into the ring on Friday he’ll see what I’m all about…it might be round one, it might be round ten.”
Brendon Ogilvie:
“He should remember the fight is twelve rounds and he hasn’t boxed in six months. I fought some really good boys recently.”

What I did see from what I watched of the video is a lot of false bravado being demonstrated by Kambosos. Often that is the sign of someone trying to mask their nervousness or lack of self belief. Ogilvie on the other hand looks relaxed and ready to go. I guess we will find out the truth tonight.

Been out. Haven't been watching the fights. Notice Kambosis vs Ogilvie went the distance with Kambosis getting the UD in what was apparently a pretty torrid affair.

BTW, I missed 1st 3 fights 'cos http://www.liveboxing.com.au/ was hacked.
Mid afternoon I noticed stream link to the show in this forum, which I promptly ditched. It was offering 1 year discount membership to unlimited viewing to numerous upcoming boxing shows. Hoping no-one took the bite & blew around 50 bucks.

Those who watched the fight I am keen to hear what you thought of it and if the right person got the decision. the scores were wide however many people on various social media outlets are calling it a very close fight. I haven't seen it so would like to hear opinons

Nowhere near close & disagree with judge Fear's 116/112 score. Sitting at home on one's backside & having PC connected to TV has it''s advantageamwsnw wrote:Those who watched the fight I am keen to hear what you thought of it and if the right person got the decision. the scores were wide however many people on various social media outlets are calling it a very close fight.
