Eddie vs. Haye

In a world of liars and tricks in the boxing arena, who has the most integrity?

I watched interviews with Haye and Hearn on iFL TV with both telling 'their side of the story'. Obviously the stories don't line up.

Hearn and Haye have both been conning the public for years, quite successfully it seems. But as the pair reluctantly pair up for this event, who is the biggest fraud?

I would be more inclined to believe haye because we all van see that match room shows aren't about the boxers and their personality's but about Eddie and how much screen time he can eek out of sky.

But who needs who in this equation? Does Haye need Hearn to use his Sky platform to maximise his money making? Or does Hearn need Haye for the big pay day?

I mean there is no bigger payday for Bellew out there, period, but it's not like Eddie is short of cash cows.

I find the rumours of Haye being skint very hard to believe.

I think Shane made quite a good comment when he said words to the effect of

''Eddie has nothing to prove, but he did bite which tells you about his ego.'

It says something about Eddie Hearn that Haye, a proven bullshitting money grabbing snake, is still considered more likeable and trustworthy.

Haye has played an absolute blinder making this him vs Matchroom.

I think you only have to look at the significant rise in British boxing since Eddie Hearn entered the game to see that he is good for boxing.

He is being clever by putting himself in the media, as it allows him to sell fights easier. By promoting himself he is promoting his boxers, how many 'casual' fans would have tuned in at the weekend to watch Ohara Davies fight as the main event if they didnt know it was a Hearn event or had heard Hearn talking about it on SSN etc. Similar to Dana White in UFC - people know him and a handful of names, but they will watch MMA because it is a UFC event.

If Haye was 10 years younger, he would be with Hearn and they would both be making a lot of money!

We all know Hearn has ego, and the previous comment regarding the Shane McGuigan quote is probably bang on re Hearn. However, I too would have bit at Haye if he was talking down and discrediting my hard work and graft to make these events happen.

I doubt it. Haye doesn't like to be promoted by anyone.
