Wouldnt mind briggs on there, maybe groves gets a run out if hes still waiting on the WBA situation playing out.IRLangmaid25 wrote:Who do you reckon will be on the under card for this match up?
Honestly i dont expect any names. The mainevent is the selling point of this show, people will simply look at the main event and deceide if they should invest or not...

My guess would be some of the lads that were out at Wembley. Maybe a low level world/international tittle or eliminator as main support. Then two british tittle fights

Kal Yafai if he wins or Jamie McDonnell I'd imagine. Adds a WT to the PPV.
Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
Paul smith 6 rounder to prepare for a world title.
Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
Callum smith will be on there fighting Joe bloggsski as a warm up for his world title fight that he's been due for over a year now

Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
Triple threat match, first one KO'd for 10secs is out then whoever is last man standing or not KO'd wins. Eddie will claim it as a historic moment for the sportclopixolacuphase wrote:I'm assuming not against each other?Killer Blow wrote:2 of Whyte, Ortiz and Price will fight as the chief undercard.

I think he was close to it after fighting mohoumadi but since then he has gone backwardslittlepug wrote:didn't deserve one a year ago, doesn't deserve one now, earn your shot for christs sakenitro5912 wrote:Callum smith will be on there fighting Joe bloggsski as a warm up for his world title fight that he's been due for over a year now
Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
Manoeuvre Groves for a European title. Zeuge is probably available.
One of the McDonnell's in against someone.
Josh Taylor v Tommy Coyle 'cos Taylor needs to be active, probably wins and gets a good name on his record. Coyle sells tickets and will fight anyone.
Heard off someone before in what's probably not that exciting but apparently happening, Isaac Chamberlain v Wadi Camacho II.

Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
Whyte vs either guy would be interesting. I wouldn't be so keen on Otiz vs Price. But then, I don't think Price would be either so I can't see that one happening.Killer Blow wrote:Yes against each other.clopixolacuphase wrote:I'm assuming not against each other?Killer Blow wrote:2 of Whyte, Ortiz and Price will fight as the chief undercard.

Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
This is an expensive fight to make, so the undercard will be a budget one. Putting any of those two names together is not only too expensive, but also a show of it's own, if the matches could be made. Not happening. No way.Killer Blow wrote:Why's that?keithmoonhangover wrote:Oh no they won't.Killer Blow wrote:2 of Whyte, Ortiz and Price will fight as the chief undercard.

Alright we'll see. You'd think such a terrible main event would need a respectable undercard to support it.keithmoonhangover wrote:This is an expensive fight to make, so the undercard will be a budget one. It's a guaranteed sell out. It'll have a decent undercard, but it won't be anything like the Joshua-Molina undercard.Killer Blow wrote:Alright we'll see. Re: Haye v Bellew Undercard
I strongly suspect that Hayemaker promotions will provide very little capital for the undercard despite Haye moaning like a little bitch yesterday at Hearn. And given that, I suspect Hearn will sell cheap fights for big names or titles on the line; to provide 8-10 fights for the undercard that doesn't add any real value to the card as a whole.
I expect something along the lines of:
Ortiz vs a 'cheap' name - Molina maybe depending what happens against Joshua
Gavin McDonnell vs Hozumi Hasegawa for the world title (if Hearn can get it over here, but I personally think McDonnell will have to travel)**
British Title fight - Winner of Buglioni vs Burton - maybe against Callum Johnson if Buglioni wins OR Martin J Ward vs Anto Cacace
Katie Taylor
Josh Taylor in a British title eliminator (British title fight will now be harder to make with Nurse signing with Warren)
Scott Quigg in another international Featherweight test (should stay at SB for me, so many open goals for him)
Connor Benn
Isaac Chamberlain vs Wadi Camacho rematch for some sort of title, maybe the English title
+ one or two Olympian signings that Hearn will make over the coming months - Buatsai and Okolie ??
**It needs a World title fight on the undercard, so if Gavin McDonnell doesnt feature then I wouldn't be suprised to see either Jamie McDonnell given another fight down at Bantam before his inevitable move up to Super Bantam, or maybe even someone like Ricky Burns / Kal Yafai / Lee Selby.
