If RJJ wins the WBF cruiserweight title, will he be considered a 5 weight world champion? In his eyes he might... but realistically, the WBF aren't a major sanctioning body.. so what happens here?

Dammit!! I hate starting the day with a headache.
Enough! Stop quoting RJJ on anything! He is no longer responsible for what he says or does![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

Great. I'm all for it. If Roy Jones doesn't care about his health why should we?

They're no more or less ridiculous than all the other ridiculous & corrupt sanctioning bodies.
There was a time in living memory when both the IBF & WBO were mocked & laughed at & not considered worthy & now people see them as credible.

How bad are the guys Gunns fighting if he's 72-0?
I could see RJJ going down the bare knuckle route when they belatedly stop him boxing.

Apart from his recognised Middleweight, Super Middleweight, Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight title wins, he also won the lightly regarded UBO and WBU Cruiserweight belts.

So even winning lightly regarded titles, he's 5 weight world champion. I was aware he won them titles, it's just on articles e.g. ESPN i'm sure they say 4 weight..SteveO wrote:Jones is already a 5 weight world champion.Ruthless-RKO wrote:If RJJ wins the WBF cruiserweight title, will he be considered a 5 weight world champion? I can't believe it is a PPV fight and at $75. What a joke. Who would pay? I would watch out of curiosity if it was on free TV for a few rounds. But pay? yeah right.

I guess ESPN are not counting the WBU and UBO cruiserweight titles, but they are included on his record:Ruthless-RKO wrote:So even winning lightly regarded titles, he's 5 weight world champion. I was aware he won them titles, it's just on articles e.g. ESPN i'm sure they say 4 weight..
