This and the fact they were robbing people blind on ticket prices

It's hardly suprising they sold naff all tickets cos people just won't risk their hard earned anymore .

Just over three weeks to a fight and no opponent for a "World Champion"

Sure he will be more deserving than Gabe Rosado though and I'm sure the defence will get him big exposure on HBO.

The only way anybody could pull out without breaking their contract, would be to declare themselves injured, and that would not go down well.

It's a sad day when a fight for the true heavyweight champion, can't even fill an arena.

Nostradamus predicted the future. In this post, you quite accurately predicted Fury's failure to fill the arena and his subsequent pull out with an almost impossible to challenge injury.

Thus: nice one.

I'd never heard of Akavov until this fight was originally made and lookingbat his record its easy to see why,its horrendous, no recognisable names and only fought about 4 opponents with winning records and their barely winning, god knows how this guy got a ranking with the WBO,that's nearly a year since Saunders beat Lee but against someone of Akavov's pedigree that shouldn't be a worry,I expect an easy nights work for Billy Joe

I'm still flummexed why Saunders thought Stevens,Rosado or Monroe Jr in America would do nothing for his career but this guy would?

be interesting to see how the lagoon centre is set up , covered a few bills there and there was over 1000 people attending but loads of the floor space was taken up by tables as dinner and drinks was part of the ticket price.......im expecting set up for around 2000-2500

He didn't; this way he keeps the lions share of the purse, fights and opponent with no hope, and pockets maximum cash without taking any risk whatsoever.

Saunders championship run is a joke.

How badly were they struggling for a venue?
Paisley is 5 miles from me and I wouldn't drive through it if I could avoid it

They have gone their seperate ways apparently but have kept it so quiet that it was only announced tonight.

Stephen Ormond looks to be on the way down, sadly. He's making very hard work of this bout.
