McGregor vs..

Post by IKSRTFO »

McGregor's UFC fighting weight has ranged between 145 and 170 so it's safe to say he can fight from 147 to 168. What happens if he decides to fight..

I mentioned it earlier but if he's serious, he should enter prize fighter.

He gases too easily to last the full 12 and Prizefighter tends to feature a bunch of domestic level fighters so he can test the waters there first.

I think he loses by stoppage against every single one of those. Even bundrage and Smith

He would get battered and KO'ed/stopped against all of them. Hell, even Ishe Smith probably won't make you fall asleep 1 minute after the beginning of the fight for the first time in his career if he faces McGregor.

If he wants to win he should be looking to fight someone like Artem Karpets rather than these guys.

I would love to see him fight GGG though

Prize fighter wouldn't pay anywhere near enough money for him to do that.

Does anybody really believe McGregor has any chance of beating any decent boxer? Look at this video and say, if you still believe he has a chance?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VZlWdUjvKA

Conor is beyond awful in boxing. Everythink he does, he does in a super slow motion. He is enormously stiff and robotic and telegraphs every punch so much that he wouldn't land anything even against a guy like Provodnikov. He would make Provo look like Willie Pepp.

It'll be fun to watch though. I hope he does step in there with someone like Mallignaggi or Katsides and gets embarrased.

Yeah, true.

But it's really the only way I can see him having any success in boxing.

Going in with anyone in the top 50 for 12 rounds he's going to lose.

Conor loses to all of them. This whole thing is a scam anyway. He will not box again.

McGregor lost to a Marijuana user who trained for 20 days! He'll lost to a real boxing fighter in 6 rounds by knock out!

Now I am being convinced that I want to see him get in the ring with a pro boxer and mix it up. I might even root for the arrogant SOB.

Oh no. McGregor lost a sparring session to a boxer? A two minute window into a sparring session tells you everything that you need to know about a guy. I guess that means that Spadafora would have killed Floyd because he got the best of him during a sparring session:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKU9PzLwEIM

Oh and then i guess this clip below means that Conor could really defeat The Mountain from Game of Thrones right?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aaehn1aY8Ig

I always find it ridiculous when people use a "sparring session" result to form any kind of opinion or stance. #1 it's a training session and you have no idea what this session was geared to, weight loss or technique. #2 you have no idea how many hours had already been put into the session prior. As a collegiate wrestler, i can tell you that there's a BIG difference between sparring and a match. I could put away anyone in sparring but then i wasn't getting work so the key was to keep moving.

Don't be that guy that bases everything off a hidden camera in a stupid training session. It means next to nothing. I actually liked what i saw Conor doing in there in fact. He needs work but IMO, he held his own in many of those exchanges.

In a boxing match, a top 50 boxer would beat a #1 MMA fighter almost every single time.

Marquez might be at an immense disadvantage due to his size, age, and inactivity. Given that he is 43 years old and has been away from the ring for 2.5 years, it's possible that he may not be able to beat a top 50 welterweight if he were to fight today. If we were talking about 41-year-old Marquez, I would bet on him to dominate McGregor for sure.

Honest to God McGregor would not beat Australia's top 3 Welterweight's in a boxing match  let alone TBE.

I gotta think if he can take punches from PAC he sure as hell can take McGregors punches.

Well I mean... almost 39-year-old Mike Tyson probably wouldn't lose to Kevin McBride either, but he did. Boxing has a rich history of past-prime legends losing fights they could never have possibly lost in their prime. Ali losing to Berbick, Hearns losing to Uriah Grant, Whitaker losing to Carlos Bojorquez, etc..
