I guess they just don't want Chisora to have it.

They should've punished Whyte too IMO.

Chisora won't be able to defend it if he won, he has a suspended sentence. So following the fight he will be banned for 2 years.
However, while a three-hour meeting ended with permission being granted for the fight to take place at the Manchester Arena, the British title will not be on the line after Chisora was punished by the governing body.

The former world title challenger has been handed a fine of £25,000, while he has been given a two-year suspended ban, leaving Chisora with the prospect of losing his boxing licence should he step out of line before December 2018.

They've got it in for DelBoy. I'd pay it in small change.

Oh for f*cks sake. Don't cancel the fight just because Chisora is trying some WWE marketing bullsh*t. Just go with it.

I thought they meant suspended ban as in if he does anything again they'll ban him for 2 years not that he would be banned for 2 years regardless

You're right, I just read, if he does anything out of line in the next 2 years.

This fight is now massive because of delboy, who has paid a hefty fine to the board (ironically for throwing a table 30 seconds after saying 'i dont want to be fined anymore by the board') and is not even on a cut of the PPV!!

God love him, if he is now banned after this fight then i presume he's motivation will be non existant.

Del Boy will be on more than £25k

He is all about the money. He wouldn't take this fight for peanuts. I would be surprised if Whyte even had pay parity let alone was on more for this. Whyte has no real following, apart from a few Brixton badmen blud. Chisora has a few quid and seems to do always do well for himself.

Not sure there is any point to having the fight on now, no title and more trouble than it's worth

Plus Whyte was wanting the fight a lot more.

Really? I think he is a great journalist who covers boxing and ufc with distinction. He is a class writer and very knowledgable. Shit hairdo and a bit Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen but each to their own.

I think if this fight was cancelled , they would have to cancel the show , Hope De relixzes his worth to this show , , gets a lawyer who could probably state his contract is invalid , because he signed for a title fight which is not happenning ,, and just demand double to sign a new contract ,, smack Eddies arse hard .

Perhaps we'll see Audley Harrison enter the ring on Saturday and throw a pasty at the winner. :oo
Audley is not coming back, I think he has health issues.
He retired due to a brain injury

Great point. Is there an investigation into that? Belles booted an advertising board at someone as well

Well said Toby.
So perhaps they should be kept in cages between fights and fed raw meat because by definition a boxer cannot behave himself outside the ring?

By what definition and where have you taken that from apart from your imagination to feed your own agenda?

Where have I said they cannot behave themselves as they are boxers? I said that two men who hate each other got a bit narky, big deal and no need to jump and go ape-shite over it.

Anyone else think Camp Eddie could barely keep a straight face in the latest IFL interview after the BBBC meeting? Doesn't exactly help the conspiracy theories.
