Adam smith
Why was adam smith in the meeting between the board and chisora? Was he there to take the brown envelope? Its got nothing to do with sky what the board dish out to chisora.

Re: Adam smith
GAS......growling adam smith.......but was glen "do u know who i am" mcrory who started all the growling on sky boxing? Smith took over the baton and taught johhny to growl too...in team meetings they probably have group growls....they all dress in baby onesies and lie on the ground and growlboxingknockout wrote:Growling???

Re: Adam smith
If i looked up "wimp" in the dictionary i would expect to see a picture of Adam Smith.
The Naz-crying story didn't shock me in the slightest.
In closing, Adam is more likely to be caught sniffing jock straps than wearing them...

Glen was the godfather of growling. We always knew a big fight was reaching the boil when the commentator prompted Glen for a pithy summary and all we could hear for the next 20 seconds or so was the guttural growl of a Grizzly bear.
In all seriousness I do miss Glen on big fight nights, he lends an occasion gravitas in my book
Re: Adam smith
He was making a couple of bank deposits - the Boards bank and his own wank bank.

Re: Adam smith
Paying Chisora's fine for him after increasing the PPV buys ?
Re: Adam smith
Could it be because he was there and a witness to the event?
Re: Adam smith
I think he's half decent as a commentator. Sometimes he's a wank but most of the time he's ok. Better than Halling. In saying that a semi literate toddler would be better than that fornicate nugget. Doesn't look your typical boxing fan but he clearly has a love for the game (so would I if I had half his salary)

Re: Adam smith
I really miss Glen. Yes he growled, bit at least he was the original growler and the SKY alpha growler. Unlike Smith who is a growling cub. I wonder if Smith and Ed Goblinson conspired to get rid of Glen, in a similar way that they got rid of Smith's predecessor. Snakes, the pair of them.CaptainSpacerod wrote:Spot on.Bricks wrote:GAS......growling adam smith.......but was glen "do u know who i am" mcrory who started all the growling on sky boxing? Re: Adam smith
Surely it would have had something to do with Sky if they were going to screen the fight and it was cancelled. It seems normal to me that Adam would be there.
Re: Adam smith
Adam smith is a complete and utter cock. I've just watched him interviews rob McCracken- - man that has forgotten more about boxing in a day than smith has ever known. He asked him "what is the last thing you will say to Anthony before he goes out?" Yet before rob gets a chance to answer that weapon smith launches into a 10 second spiel about what he thinks rob should/will say. Utter nonsense about klitschko etc. The forces rob to just recite the tripe he's come out with.

Re: Adam smith
Smith would've been there to understand the boundaries that sky and Hearn can get away with promoting their freak shows on a ppv basis. Ie bell end v gay will be 10 times worse. But money talks!daviddee wrote:Is it because boxing is corrupt??

Re: Adam smith
Maybe he was there to explain that the whole thing was staged to sell the last few tickets and up the PPV buys... then to suggest a £25k deterrent to future boxers was reasonable considering the extra profit he's gonna make.
Re: Adam smith
He's a slippery wee chutney ferret of a creature who singly ruins any promotion he is involved with on screen with his learing, brown nosing, drama filled squealing and grunting. It would be less off putting listening to someone killing cats with a mallet in the background that having him commentate or comment on any aspect of a fight. The slack jawed balloon knot that he isSupremo wrote:Adam smith is a complete and utter cock. May have had something to do with the Invisible Hand.
Re: Adam smith
He manages to do that to everyone he commentates with as well.Supremo wrote:Adam smith is a complete and utter cock. Re: Adam smith
The ferret is a good nickname for him.
I've nothing against the bloke on a personal level but he's dire at his job and we as boxing fans have had to put up with his piss poor talent while he scooped millions in salaries.

Re: Adam smith
It's nothing personal here with any of us .it boils down to one thing.........SMITH cons and insults the British fight public....anyone can do a search I've been complaining about this ever since haye-Harrison......his constant growling questions which he answers himself with bis smug platitudes about "our world champions"...how he puts words in the mouths of the interviewee to avoid anything contrary to his vision being suggested...he brags about "our champions " most of whom he knows are not the dominant world beaters he is pretending they are and would have been European class at best 20 years ago....it's mass manipulation.......and it will stop.US producing another Froch or Benn .....because these guys will not need to test themselves when they have Smith lying about their abilities.....constantly we are seeing a loss poor product dressed up as Hagler-hearns for some bogus belt...the belt thing is worse far worse than the wbu days.....there's no objectivity or trained qualified journalists on his team apart from the capable ed Robinson who has his hands tied...
