Not that outrageous. What are trixie odds?jameswilson wrote:I'm thinking of a Ruiz, Buglioni and Chisora trixie this weekend. Do I think they will all win? No probably not but the odds are too good to turn down on each one. Round about 3.75 for each.

Re: burton v buglioni
Marathon bet seem to have the best odds across the 3. 3.92 for buglioni, 4.05 for Ruiz and 3.68 for Del boy. £25 for each bet means £100 total and if all 3 come in it will be £2590 coming in. If two come in it's at least £360.boxingknockout wrote:Not that outrageous. What are trixie odds?jameswilson wrote:I'm thinking of a Ruiz, Buglioni and Chisora trixie this weekend. Personally think Ruiz is getting smashed. Fought absolutely no one. Parker win over Takam is league above anything he has been in with.boxingknockout wrote:Not that outrageous. I wonder if Don Charles might have worked on that head movement a bit. I fancy Buglioni for this one quite strongly, I'm surprised Burton is the favourite, he has the size advantages and can punch a bit but I think Frank is a level above in skills and the level of opposition he's faced. Will be going against the crowd and having a few bob on him.Counter-puncher wrote:PredatorHayds wrote:I don't personally think Burton looks a big puncher.littlepug wrote: doesn't always work like that does it ? Burtons a taller more rangy lad and could easily hurt frank more than chudinov did just by catching him on the end of his long punches
I'm edging Buglioni here but the vast majority seem to be going Burton stoppage.
maybe not but his skills- and Buglioni's open style and lack of head movement- should mean littlepug is right, IMO
Re: burton v buglioni
Chudinov isn't a huge hitting super middleweight. He's also tiny for the weight class.PredatorHayds wrote:If Buglionis chin can take Chudinovs power it will be ok with Burton.
Re: burton v buglioni
I'm surprised so many people are high on Buglioni. I think he's pretty terrible. Area level at best. That's not to say that Burton is anything that special either; but I believe he's better than Buglioni.
Re: burton v buglioni
He's been in some really entertaining fights cos he gets caught himself so easily and he's been in some wars which must have taken their toll .lefty wrote:I'm surprised so many people are high on Buglioni. Also can't see him beating Burton , but he'll give it a good go i'm sure .

Unless Frank has considerably improved I see burton as technically more sound and that's why I would back him. Interesting fight probably the one that intrigues me mostlefty wrote:I'm surprised so many people are high on Buglioni. I think he's pretty terrible. Area level at best. Yeah. I see Burton getting a mid to late stoppage. Frank can be quite durable though so it should be interesting.Counter-puncher wrote:Unless Frank has considerably improved I see burton as technically more sound and that's why I would back him. I think marking up might be his problem as much as getting hurt, he seems to cut and or swell easily

Second trixie I'v done where there's been 2 split of majority decision losses or draws against me.
Only a fornicating 3 grand swing.

Cracking fight,Buglioni just doesn't do borefests does he,I had it all even going into the last, the action just swung back and forth until near the end I had Burton pulling away but then the knockdown in the 11th clawed it back for Buglioni but even in the last Burton was boxing well, landed a cracking right hand but Buglioni has one of the biggest hearts in uk boxing right now and tagged Burton right back and Hosea just never recovered from the knockdown in the last
Incredible effort from both men, classic blend of styles and I wouldn't mind a rematch

If we hadn't been treated to the potential FOTY in Chisora vs Whyte i'd say this was the best fight i have seen in a british ring this year .handsofstone wrote:Cracking fight,Buglioni just doesn't do borefests does he,I had it all even going into the last, the action just swung back and forth until near the end I had Burton pulling away but then the knockdown in the 11th clawed it back for Buglioni but even in the last Burton was boxing well, landed a cracking right hand but Buglioni has one of the biggest hearts in uk boxing right now and tagged Burton right back and Hosea just never recovered from the knockdown in the last

Tough pick between two fantastic fights
Re: burton v buglioni
Buglioni has had some stick on this forum in the past, maybe he isn't Sugar Ray Leonard, but really took his lumps in his world title fight, is never in a bad scrap, tough and game as old boots and now has gone up in weight to win the British title in an incredible bout.

Re: burton v buglioni
Gutted for Burton, a really nice lad and to come so close must be devastating but Buglioni is far better than I thought and a really courageous bloke especially the way he walked through some of those right hands - I'm another who would love to see a rematch
