Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
ill maybe gibve that final round to parker, neither did much so the defensive footwork of parker wins the round.ruiz just didnt let his hands go enough once he got in range.parker looked knackered half way.ruiz could have won that if hed just taken a chance.7-5 parker

I had it 117-112 Parker, wasnt a classic and i found it tough to split a lot of the rounds,Ruiz couldve won it if he'd been busier, everytime he threw flurries Parker looked uncomfortable,Ruiz looked the stronger too but Parker was a bit busier with the jab and the basics

Parker has very nice handspeed, but technically he needs lots of work

Scored it 7-4-1 to Parker. Nearly fell asleep.

You could in theory. If you did a marathon a day you'd struggle to eat enough surplus calories to be fat. But it's mostly down to diet. I train 5 days a week and I'm in the worst shape of my life cause I'm a greedy bastardBoxerbeetle wrote:Diet is absolutely key to losing weight. Surely even without a decent diet you would lose weight just by training daily?

Good scoring by the judges for a change
Ironic that Parker wins the title and sees his reputation plummet at the same time.

Fair result. Ruiz actually looked the better boxer to me, but doesn't have the fitness or work rate to capitalise.
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
Ruiz possibly lost that by 1or 2 pies.
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
If Ruiz had even the slightest second gear I think he would've won that
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
Yeah agree. Ruiz only has himself to blame.
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
I wonder if Ruiz had problems concentrating on the fight - what with the Burger King logo on all the ringposts and ropes.

W@rren says Haye or Hughie Fury up next for Parker.
Suppose Parker could face AJ in a unification fight to avoid his mandatory.
Can't see Parker keeping hold of the title...

Not a great fight. But a good contest between two very evenly matched guys who both came to win. I had it close and had my fingers crossed Parker would get the nod - and he did.

Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker vs. Andy Ruiz jr - December 10th 2016
As I mentioned above I had it 117-112 to Parker but a close fight with me just giving him the kudos for work rate more than anything although he wasn't exactly 100mph himself, Ruiz was just fighting in spurts although he was looking dangerous when throwing, just allowed himself to be outworked on my card which is a shame because Parker is very beatable
Also my card might be a bit wider than most,I had a mate decorating the kids bedroom whilst I was watching and the livingroom is in uproar with furniture and 3 lasses talking and pudding about so it was hard to concentrate on such a dull, close fight devoid of any real momentum, apart from spurts in action but yeah from my view Parker won comfortable enough,at least as far as my score card tallied up but neither man shined,Ruiz not nearly busy enough and Parker still too easy to hit ,he did pace himself better than he did in the Takam fight though

Biased opinion but all top UK heavyweights would beat them fairly easy...
Haye and joshua would put them in hospital

Just realised I posted literally the exact same thing a couple of days ago on the most recent ‘why is Andy Ruiz so fat’ thread. How things change
