Hearn should match Ortiz with Whyte if the latter wins tonight.

I think Hearn is building Whyte through the domestic route to a rematch with AJ.lefty wrote:Hearn should match Ortiz with Whyte if the latter wins tonight.
I think he puts Whyte in with Price before Ortiz if he wins...

I saw an interview where Hearn was talking about matching the two together. I'm sure that wasn't set in stone though.wesshaw1985 wrote:I think Hearn is building Whyte through the domestic route to a rematch with AJ.lefty wrote:Hearn should match Ortiz with Whyte if the latter wins tonight.

Matching two fighters he promotes together seems a smarter idea than matching one of his guys with a fighter that everyone perceives as a chinless wonder but who also happens to hit very hard. With the other fighter also not being under his promotional wing.

Price looks like he would be in with a good shot against Ortiz imo. Ortiz doesn't seem to pressure enough.lefty wrote:Matching two fighters he promotes together seems a smarter idea than matching one of his guys with a fighter that everyone perceives as a chinless wonder but who also happens to hit very hard. That's because he's primarily a counter puncher though. Im sure he'd still inevitably pole axe price.Finn wrote:Price looks like he would be in with a good shot against Ortiz imo. What Hearn says and what Hearn does.lefty wrote:I saw an interview where Hearn was talking about matching the two together. Ortiz beats Whyte imo but i reckon there is more money in a Whyte rematch than an Ortiz defence, that's why I'm leaning toward it not happening...

Cuban and heavyweight don't go well together.
This is where they lose all their discipline.
Last promoter who signed a high profile heavyweight, Ahmet Ohner inking Odlanier Solis, went nowhere.
