Definitely. When it becomes obvious to everybody that a guy can't win it needs to be stopped. Especially a guy like Blackledge who only has 7 KO victories, the chances of him scoring a come from behind KO are so slim that it's certainly not worth it to risk serious injury.

I don't wanna see replay of that knockout.

Ref was absolved of blame in that tragic fight, but really needs a kick up the arse for this one

Yes, I didn't see it properly either, it happened so quick, you just see Blackledge lying there absolutely still, frightening.

Was this referee involved in one of the recent fights that turned out tragic? If so yes he definitely should be looked into, you gotta have better judgment than that when a man's life could be on the line especially when you've already seen the worst case scenario first hand.

What about if Paulie Malignaggi won the first 7 rounds of a title fight? Should it be stopped?

Good to see Smith proving several of you wrong with that savage ending.

He dominated every round, and it is very clear that he belongs at world level.

Just seen a replay on Twitter. What a left hook that was. Sickening KO.

Got Concepcion on points at 6/1. Just seen that Howard Foster is the referee. :brick:

Depends who he's fighting and how well they'd done up to that point in the fight. I've seen guys that aren't big punchers end up in tragic fights as well. Jesus Chavez vs Leavander Johnson for instance.

Now admittedly I don't see Paulie Malignaggi's shots dealing fatal damage to anybody, but ya never know.

I don't think we'll be seeing Paulie winning the first 7 rounds of any title fight anymore.

Why has Adam Smith taken over commentary? Clarke does a good job.

Anyway, 1-0 Yafai.

Everyone is talking about being worried about the lads well-being but he's glad to see the savage ending

And beating the 8th best SMW in the UK and probably Smiths 5th best opponent to date, all but guarantees Smith is unquestionably world class and has proven all us doubters wrong?

Bizarre

Looking at these two in the first it seems mind blowing to hear 'em say Concepcion is the guy that came in overweight.

Think they must have weighed in on Eddie Hearns scales, looking at the pictures of the weigh in
