Horn v Funeka
How was this fight?

Re: Horn v Funeka
Funeka had a good first couple of rounds but Jeff was better as it went on. Still think horn can protect himself more but geeze he's quick. Must look for someone rated higher than himself now.

Thanks Mate. Appreciate the reply.Grant wrote:Funeka had a good first couple of rounds but Jeff was better as it went on. Still think horn can protect himself more but geeze he's quick. Must look for someone rated higher than himself now.
Tough decisions for Jeff & his team. I think they're being smart by allying themselves to Parker who's getting talked about in the US.
He should look at a Vargas or Bradley but are we going to see either one of them in the ring any time soon?

Don't know if the commentators were watching what I was, or I was drunk - but - that KD was caused by the headclash not the body shot.
Either way Horn came on strong and it was a nice finish.

Re: Horn v Funeka
I was just reading something regarding Horn v Pacman. Glen Rushton who is Horn's trainer said he knows how to beat PAC. How the fornicate does he know that? This is the same trainer who said Hammond was on another level to Kris George. I hope Horn can step up to the next level but these fighters he's beating are far from being the best in the world.
Re: Horn v Funeka
young Horn does need to improve his defence before he mixes it with the topliners, he is a very good fighter but I worry he might meet the same fate as Danny Geale, keep him away from the Pacman,, all thebest

He apparently impressed Arum according to this article.Grant wrote:Funeka had a good first couple of rounds but Jeff was better as it went on. Still think horn can protect himself more but geeze he's quick. Must look for someone rated higher than himself now.

Ceferino Rodriguez.

Re: Horn v Funeka
Orozco would be a lot more interesting.....Rodriguez was fortunate to win his last fight, which was against someone Horn's already beaten.
Re: Horn v Funeka
I'm tipping Horn will be fighting Rodriguez ranked 47. Nice to see Jeff testing himself with someone ranked below top 50.crusader wrote:Orozco would be a lot more interesting.....Rodriguez was fortunate to win his last fight, which was against someone Horn's already beaten.

Re: Horn v Funeka
Orozco would be the sort of fighter Horn needs to be fighting, and soon, before even thinking about Pacman. Not keep fighting guys like Funeka and this Rodriguez.
I really hate how boxers can get a Top 10 ranking without fighting Top 10 calibre fighters.
