In Australia or Samoa I remember what was done to Fenech all them years ago in Vegas fuc yare about time we got a close one
I meant any other big fight city! Is was a world title after all! Nobody's going to be fighting him in New Zealand anytime soon
That's boxing Ruiz is one of the best overweight fighter's i'v seen and his speed with his hands is unreal he took the chance and most probably got the lions share of the money if it was in Mexico Ruiz would be Champ Bob Arum got Andy a bullshit deal not the judge's [/quote
If he couldn't stop Parker he was never going to win that fight, no matter how bad Parker may have been

Ruiz will live that night over in his head for a while if not year's he lost on two of the judge's card's in round's by the slim margin of 7 to 5 the other judge couldn't split them that shows that Andy nearly got the job done in Parkers back yard that's way way way off what you claim when you say Ruiz was never going to win that fight unless he got a KO because just for argument sake lets just say Andy got two knockdowns lets just say in one of the first 4 round's........round's that Ruiz look liked he held the upper hand then those knockdowns would have meant that Andy would have gottin the close decision win instead of the close decision loss the home town advantage got Parker the win Ruiz had his chance's but didn't quite convert them team Ruiz knew what country they were in

It was a close fight. Everybody who watched it with any boxing nous whatsoever has said it was a close fight.
One judge scored what everybody saw as a close fight a draw. How do you explain that if you think the result was predetermined?
The judges incidentally were an Argentinian, a Filipino and a German.

I had Ruiz winning. If the fight had been in Mexico you know who would have gotten it. It was fairly close, but Ruiz was the aggressor and landed the better punches. You would think Parker would have learned more from his previous fight -- which I also had him losing. His defense is full of holes.
Struggling with Chisora knocks Whyte down considerably -- considering how easily a 41-year-old Vitali and a very inactive David Haye dealt with DC. Chisora didn't look like he was in massively fantastic condition or had a lot of new facets to his game. Dillian isn't there yet and won't be world class for a few yrs

It's a shame in a world where just joining in is considered winning that in boxing nearly getting the job done is not even close to being the actual winner.
Ruiz was nearly the world heavyweight champ. Ruiz could have beaten Rockys 49-0 record too.

Who said the fight wasn't close? Parker was never gonna stop Ruiz, I don't think any heavyweight will ko Ruiz, so it was always gonna be a close one, the fact is Ruiz had to ko Parker to win, he was never gonna get the nod in a close fight in New Zealand against their national hero.. Fact! So the fact that Ruiz couldn't stop Parker sealed his fate! So if you can't get a points win in this particular situation then ( barring a ko loss) the result is pre determined!

I scored it a draw. I thought the judging was very fair.
The idea that Ruiz couldn't win without a KO is silly. There was no bias in the judging at all. If Ruiz had thrown a few more punches he would have won. He was walking forward the whole time, but wasn't throwing much at all. Mostly just countering and missing a lot in those flurries.
Looked like both guys were fighting not to lose. Neither can complain with the outcome as neither were doing much.

Total BS... Ruiz was never going to get that fight unless he beat the crap out of Parker. He landed more and harder punches and was the aggressor almost all the way... You're supposed to get evenly fought rounds if you're the aggressor and you're pushing the pace... I'm not saying it was an outright robbery like the Kovalev-Ward fight... They did have international judges who I don't think knew what they were doing -- but if one guy lands more and better punches and is also the guy pressing the action and driving the other guy around the ring he ought to get the decision -- even if it's "close" -- which it wasn't too.

I've got to agree with Serragon here - it was a close fight that ended with a fair decision. While Ruiz was the guy going forwards, he threw significantly less punches than Parker (416 to 560) and landed less as well, according to CompuBox (107 to 119). Parker landed the harder punches too, though I expect Ruiz landed more power punches overall.
Oh, and Kovalev-Ward wasn't an outright robbery, no matter how much you repeat it, it doesn't make it true.
