In spite of Wladimir being the faster-handed, more gifted boxer, I see Vitali out lasting and stopping him.

This is what I think also.
Wlad is a better boxer, and also faster. But I think Vitali with his cast iron chin would take all that Wlad
threw at him and eventually connect for the ko

Vitali always had a "Big brother" protection thing going with his little bro. Wladimir would've beaten him because Vitali wouldn't have had it in him to beat up his little brother.

If you made them both emotionless robots, maybe it'd be different, but since they're both human. This is what happens.

Wladimir had a better career (better fighters beaten) but I think vitali was better in his prime. his career was just shortened by a lot of bad injuries.

Vitali only had one real loss in his career against top3 ever boxer lennox lewis (who was slightly overweight but still they had a great fight). now way Wladimir would have such a war with lennox without going down.

if vitali would have been able to go all out against wlad he would trash him.

I'll go against the grain and pick Wlad on points. He u/is a better boxer than Vitali, who I don't think has the power to stop Wlad unless through sheer accumulation. Vitali could get to him with his superior aggression and willingness to take a shot, but I don't see him winning on points.

55/45 Wlad points/Vitali KO (late)

I would go with Vitali. Vitali is not just the older brother, but also the bigger one, and Wlad rarely looked impressive when matched against top fighters without size advantage (McCline, Thompson I, Sanders).

Mine's psyche based.....on skill alone if they were not brothers, I'd favor Wlad in a snoozer.

However based on WHO they are I would bet on Vitali, because he aint losin to lil bro.

So it could bet dramatic if lil bro don't fold easy.

Were any of them bigger than Wlad? Wach is the only fighter he's fought that was taller as far as I'm aware. Ray Austin perhaps? Anyway the difference in size between the brothers in negligible. I'm sure (and could search a certain site) that a few fighters have outweighed him, but in terms of in condition size, he's almost never been outsized.

I find it hard to pick Vitali looking at their careers. UDing completely effed Shannon Briggs just isn't very impressive, whereas Wlad beat so many top fighters. But then again they're both big punchers and Vitali has shown such a better chin.

I think if Vitali winsit's by KO.

Doesn't matter, people constantly evaluate their resumes as one. Either way they both get a win!

Somehow, it would be regarded by some people as a huge win for the winner, yet the same people would have an excuse for the loser. :D

Vitali for me...and wave a magic wand and remove the brother complication/dynamic...and I'd still have him winning.

Could see him bullying Wlad - getting him on the ropes/backed in a corner - and he'd be far, far more robust if they did exchange big shots.

Wlad does have the better skill set but they're just not on a sufficiently higher/superior level to stop Vitali from breaking through....and once Vitali does get in a few times he'll finish it.

I had brothers... You love your little brothers but you don't let them even think they could beat you.. Not for a minute.. The question was posed to both bros.

Vitali.., "I'm not going to sacrifice my younger brother's health for money. We will not fight."

Wladimir.., "Vitali would win. He's a natural fighter who picked up Boxing very, very quickly. He started first. It took me many years to learn how to box and I still don't know how to box as well as I should. Truthfully, Boxing was never an easy sport for me or came naturally for me. I'm not a born fighter and Vitali is."

One caveat to that is that Vitali loved Kickboxing... But he damaged his legs so badly doing that sport that he was forced to give Kickboxing up and concentrate on Boxing... His legs caused him problems throughout his Boxing career... He thought he fought much better after he took 4 years off to rehab his legs... That's why Wladimir's legs always looked fresher, better, and faster.
