Think this could be a close fight, should go the distance and probably fairly entertaining.
6 years since Paulie fought at 140lbs, should be interesting to see how that pans out.

Recognisable name should give Ricky a good payday and a winnable one, fancy a split decision

Not one that will be giving Bud Crawford sleepless nights though, I shouldn't think

For once Hearn isn't lying.

Malignaggi mentioned it on his podcast the other week.

Would love a close split decision in favour of Ricky Burns just for the badness. It would complete a treble for Pauli being stiffed on a decision

Quite like this fight. Would probably go if it was over this way.

Not a bad fight, classic high work rate vs skilled boxer type of affair.

Nice to see a couple old pros looking to give each other a bit of a payday rather than getting thrown to the young lions.

Good fight. Be interesting if Paulie can make weight though. I don't think it will happen as I can't see him getting back down to light-welter

The boy from Namibia is a southpaw, Ricky not clever against southpaws and this guy KO'd the Russian in 40 sec in Russia

Malignaggi makes sense, he is on Sky regularly doing punditry and it is not a bad fight either.

How do you see Burns vs Magic Man panning out?

Joke fight. Burns is no more a world champ than I am.

He seems like a good lad and it's not his fault what the media say but it sticks in my craw when he's described as a 3 time world champion.

The world's gone fvcking mad. I got a £60 fine today for briefly loitering in an airport hotel carpark about a mile from the airport.

People might think I'm daft for suggesting this but shouldn't burns/Hearn be pursuing a Crawford rematch? As billy says above, it's the unification Ricky has always wanted and would be a big payday. Crawford would likely be up for it also as he has stated his desire to obtain all 4 belts at 140 before moving up!

OK burns would lose clearly but as Crawfords career continues (and the excellent performances he keeps producing keep coming), it makes Burns losing effort look more and more respectable as time goes on.

Ugh. Ugly fight. Can't bear Malignaggi. Can't forget his puny efforts vs Hatton and Khan.

Listened to Paulies Podcast says they are coming to terms on the fight and confirmed the date will be April 15th.

He's was talking like it was going ahead. Mentioned talking to Chris Algieri about making weight and setting a meeting with him to plan ahead. ( Algeri has a sports nutrition background )

The pod was a good listen actually particularly what he said about the WBA title bullshit.

In fact they put the pod on YouTube. From the hour mark he talks about the burns fight and why the whole point in him calling out McGregor was to keep his name out there.
