Re: Povetkin fails another drug test!
Andrey Ryabinskiy said via his Twitter account that, as per the Wilder fight, the first set of test results came from the American lab. He doesn't know where the trace of Ostarine banned substance came from... and that theoretically, its source cannot be investigated.
This could wreck Ryabinskiy's long-running lawsuit against Deontay Wilder.

Stiverne has confirmed that he is not going forward with the fight and plans to return back home to Las Vegas.
"I am disappointed, this is the height of unprofessionalism. Now the fight is definitely not taking place. I'm flying home, but my career goes on. I think I will become the official challenger to fight with Deontay Wilder," Stiverne said.
Sulaiman also confirmed Stiverne's decision - "Team Stiverne sent a message that they will not participate in the fight."

Don King surely discussed the purse issue with his legal department and WBC....if he'll get the money without a fight, why bother...Ruthless-RKO wrote:Stiverne has confirmed that he is not going forward with the fight and plans to return back home to Las Vegas.

Looking at the current rankings the next would be Pulev.Frazier71 wrote:Stiverne - Dillian Whyte final eliminator!
Povetkin to oblivion
Pulev Stivern would be the worst, but Pulev Wilder would be fun.

And when a black American men uses all kind of doping directly in front of the doping agency, like Stiverne for example did, it's absolutely no problem and the fight can carry on. But if an innocent Russian still has some traces left in his body from a substance that used to be perfectly allowed it's a massive drugscheat! I also think it's very remarkeble that this happens exactly one day after Wilder his mediastatement about Russians, how did he knew this beforehand?

Good. Wilder shouldn't be sued for the Povetkin farce.Enlightened-One wrote:Andrey Ryabinskiy said via his Twitter account that, as per the Wilder fight, the first set of test results came from the American lab. Damn, was going to make some money on Povetkin KO.
Re: Povetkin fails another drug test!
Its safe to assume at this point that Povetkin was benefiting form non existent anti doping program in Russia in recent years. His body transformation and emphatic knockouts he scored since Klitschko fight likely to be attributed to his unrestrained doping. He needs to banned for life. Same could be true for Lebedev who with no medication looked weak in his last fight and perhaps other fighters. WBC should not sanction any fights in Russia unless it is done under a strict VADA monitoring.

World of Boxing Promotions has announced that WBC #1 heavyweight Alexander Povetkin (30-1, 22 KOs) will now face WBC silver titlist Johann “Reptile” Duhaupas (34-3, 21 KOs) in the main event tonight at the Ekaterinburg Expo Center in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Duhaupas enters coming off an impressive KO over Robert Helenius in April and gave WBC champ Deontay Wilder a hard fight last year. He is rated #4 in both the WBC and IBF. It will be a nontitle fight and Duhaupas’ silver belt will not be on the line.
Duhaupas stepped in after Bermane Stiverne pulled out due to Povetkin failing a drug test and the WBC withdrawing world heavyweight interim title sanction as a result.

Re: Povetkin fails another drug test!
Technically he should, based on the information contained within the lawsuit and the allegations Wilder's own legal team were refusing to contest... However, the severity of Deontay's contract breaking actions now seem trivial.Killer Blow wrote:Good. I even doubt if it's true at all, it's obvious that the Americans are bullshitting, with Stiverne cheating no problem, now claiming Povetkin failed a dopingtest, just like last time, when he turned out to be 100% innocent as well.BitPlayer wrote:Look at what they used. No, it is not bullshit. It is a blatant neglect or incompetence in following procedures to properly hide PEDs usage. Povetkin should hire Wilder's "nutritionist".asdfjkl wrote:I even doubt if it's true at all, it's obvious that the Americans are bullshitting, with Stiverne cheating no problem, now claiming Povetkin failed a dopingtest, just like last time, when he turned out to be 100% innocent as well.BitPlayer wrote:Look at what they used. Stiverne was busted while taking the doping in, in front of the doping agency and he was still allowed to fight from the WBC, in other words this is total bullshit, Wada/Vada failed to do a proper job last time as well, when Povetkin eventually turned out to be innocent, I wouldn't be surprised if they "screwed up" again.boxing_rocks wrote:No, it is not bullshit. Stop talking shits. Povektin was never "innocent". Because he says he was on meldonium before it was banned , it has to be the truth? He is p.o.s on steroids
