Johann Duhaupas to face Povetkin
In an effort to get himself back into the world title mix, Johann Duhaupas has made the “crazy” decision to take a fight with Alexander Povetkin on extremely short notice, replacing Bermane Stiverne after Povetkin failed another drug test.
Duhaupas (34-3, 21 KO) is coming off of a knockout win over a busted Robert Helenius in April of this year, and had lost two of his last four fights before that, a decision to Erkan Teper in March 2015, and then a TKO loss to Deontay Wilder in an undeserved WBC title shot six months later.
He does have some recent success fighting on short notice in Russia, though. To get the Wilder fight, he won a decision over Manuel Charr in Moscow just a month after his loss to Teper. So that’s something.
The interim WBC title will not be on the line, as it was scheduled to be for Povetkin-Stiverne.

What's his freaking excuse now for failing the test?
Who wants to defend the cheater thus time

The cheating ruskies probably knew pedvedkin was juicin, so they had duhaupas getting ready much earlier before the fight in case pedvedkin failed the test.

The normal idiots are taking care of defending it.
I'll be waiting to hear why the juiced up Povetkin is fighting the tomato can Duhaupas. (The one (one of many) that Wilder was criticized for fighting)
Re: Johann Duhaupas to face Povetkin
Absolute joke. If he's failed a test, he deserves to receive a two year ban, as in other sports.
That said, he'll beat Duhaupas, as he's likely done none of the necessary preparation.

Probably once again Wada/Vada failing, just like last time, when Povetkin and his team turned out to be correct as well. It's the same lab, so there's a good chance they screwed up again.tiny_acres wrote:What's his freaking excuse now for failing the test?

Let's ALL give HUGE credit to Johann "The Reptile" Duhaupas (34-3, 23 KO's) for taking on this immense challenge with virtually no preparation!
Duhaupas win, lose or draw has quickly become one of my favorite fighters. This guy is willing to take on the absolute best without even a winks notice.

He do not need our credit, he was paid very well to take this fight-)))chuck9788 wrote:Let's ALL give HUGE credit to Johann "The Reptile" Duhaupas (34-3, 23 KO's) for taking on this immense challenge with virtually no preparation!

Maybe so, but I'd imagine Robert Helenius' team said the same thing. I'd also imagine that team Wilder thought it was going to be easy work, and we all know Duhaupaus tested the champ pretty good.

It's so confused the situation now... Is the match between Povetkin and Duhaupas valid?

I cheated too. I voted after the fight.
But I knew who would win anyway, just didn't know when.

Bullshit. Look it up how they falsely tarnished the Russian olympic team with drug charges - and then learn something about what it is Las Vegas Nevada and Doc Goodman's Las Vegas mafia drug testing company.

Yeah it's hard to take these drug tests seriously anymore.x2x wrote:Grailer wrote:Awesome knockout but tarnished because of drugsgilgamesh wrote:Duhaupas just got blasted out at the end of the 6th

I think your nationalism & hysterical fanboyism over Povetkin has reached outrageous levels, my friend.x2x wrote:Grailer wrote:Awesome knockout but tarnished because of drugsgilgamesh wrote:Duhaupas just got blasted out at the end of the 6th

Tell us, is there any substance for which the Russian can test positive for that you will finally admit that he's a steroid cheat?
Seriously, the former chubby, average punching, gasses out in the later rounds 20-something year old Povetkin has become a chiseled, one punch KO artist at the advanced age of 37 & you continue to support him unconditionally? It's ridiculous!
