Anybody heard anything?certain people on certain sites are saying hes pulled out with a mouth infection,can anybody confirm this?

Well i happen to know a potential sparring partner was told not to come as he had some wisdom teeth extracted so it's certainly a possibility...

WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has been forced to withdraw from his title defence on March 25 because of an abscess.

The Cambuslang fighter was due to face Joan Guzman of the Dominican Republic at the Braehead Arena in the ninth defence of his belt.

But promoter allegedly has refused to cancel the rest of the bill, which features Amir Khan, as he eyes a heavyweight clash for Glasgow boxing fans.

Warren said: "I am in the process of trying to fix up Danny Williams or Matt Skelton and I am certain either fighter will prove a huge attraction for the fans, who will also be keen to see Amir in action for a second time. We will still put on a good show.

"Naturally the loss of Scott Harrison is a blow. However, these things happen and it's no-one's fault.

"Scott is in no fit state to undertake such an important and potentially difficult fight."

But Peter Harrison - Scott's father and trainer - admits his son is in no condition to take on Guzman.

He said: "Scott's training has been a nightmare from the start.

"He developed a cold in the first week, but everything seemed okay following the birth of his daughter, Maria.

"But then Scott was hit by a gum infection and was forced to return from Fort William to visit his dentist.

"Things have got worse since then and Scott phoned me on Sunday morning to say his neck was swollen.

"When I visited him, I could see he had swollen glands and we got in touch with allegedly straight away to advise him of the situation."

Hopefully they will reschedule this fight. Feel sorry for Scott, this was a big fight for him and a chance to prove himself on the big stage to a degree.

Absolutely gutted about this, although I'm hopeful the fight will still happen.

Fell sorry for Harrison, as he must be suffering real bad for him to pull-out. I mean, he trains like a demon, and for him to cancel, he must be in a bad way!

Was really looking forward to this one, too!

Well if it is Danny, his opponent is going to be shit, as Williams's pulse is probably still in the high 100s a week after the Skelton fight. I guarantee that by last Sunday night he had his feet up, his TV viewing planned for the week(s) ahead, and several multi-packs of McCoys beside his easy-chair.

Then he gets the call from Fwank. "Shit" he thinks. He better say he's ready. "Of corf all fat in gashgow fank" says Danny, as flecks of Tunnocks teacake fly out of his mouth and into the receiver.

If it's a Commonwealth defence, I'd say maybe Ahunanya or Purlette, although at short notice a Wayne Llewelyn or something in that region may be more the region we're peering into.
