Joe Smith Jr , an unknown common worker and a part-time boxer got once in a lifetime opportunity against Fonfara and now against Hopkins and he prevailed. That's a good american story! :OhYes:

Why not??? ... He's a strong Light Heavyweight... Now he should go for a top trainer... He really needs to improve his skills to get to the next level with Kovalev and Ward... He needs to take his time too... Possibly quit his job for 6 months and see what he can do as a full time boxer... He cannot beat the top guys right now... He can't be stupid like Bryant Jennings who went for the Ortiz fight... Wait until you're really good about 6 or 7 more fights to make your move... Right now you're taking too many hard shots to get yours in.

Yup, he looks like a genuinely strong dude. Agree he should focus 100% on his boxing career and and get a good trainer to polish his boxing skills.

He should have a tune up match against someone beatable like Stieglitz and then target Cleverly's belt for the middle of the year. I reckon he'd beat CLev and Clev lacks the power to hurt him.
