Would Jermall Charlo be a better test for GGG @160 lbs than Canelo, Jacobs and BJS ?
How Jermall would do against GGG @ 160 lbs ?

Right now GGG would be too much I cant see Charlo taking that consistant punishment from GGG. NONSTOP leather from GGG being laid

It's possible he'd be a better test than Canelo or BJS but I kinda doubt it. I think Charlo would get beaten up by Golovkin with relative ease.
Charlo vs BJS would be an interesting fight for Jermall to test the waters at 160 pounds I think. Though with him being a PBC fighter they'll almost certainly go with a safer option, like Sergio Mora or something.

Better than BJS, not Canelo or Jacobs. If you combined 160 and 154 I think it would look like:
1. Golovkin
2. Canelo
3. Lara
4. Jacobs
5. Charlo
1. Golovkin
2. Canelo
3. Lara
4. Jacobs
5. Charlo

I would put Andrade, based on what I have seen as #2. I could be way off, but hope he gets a chance to prove himself. Right now he is kind of like Spence- looks like a tremendous talent but still untested against elite competition.jujigatame wrote:Better than BJS, not Canelo or Jacobs. No I agree, Andrade is a bit unproven at the top level, but he seems like he could be the best guy in the weight class.

Charlo still might get GingerHead in May.

I don't see Canelo risking a fight with Jermall... He might go for his brother.. I don't see him fighting Andrade, Jacobs, or Eubank, EVER.. I see a BJS fight and maybe a rematch.. I see a lot of stalling around with his career.. They might do the GGG fight when he's 36 or 37 if they get a lopsided amount of money.. They'll have everything rigged in their favor like Ward did with Kovalev---but Canelo will still get knocked out. GGG is not happy with him. Eubank is the biggest threat to Golovkin now. The man has lifted his game phenomenally since the Saunders SD loss when he had 18 fights.

I would like to see Jermall get a few fights under his belt at 160 before taking on GGG.
However, at the moment, I do think he's a better fight for GGG than Saunders.

I don't often find myself agreeing with you Kalan, but I do agree that Eubank Jr probably has the biggest chance of upsetting GGG of anyone from 154-160lb. I think GGG's best policy in that matchup would be to jab and outbox Eubank from range without pressing too hard for a stoppage, because Eubank has a granite chin like his Dad, plus heavy hands and good uppercuts in the inside.Kalan wrote:I don't see Canelo risking a fight with Jermall... Don't think Eubank's hands are that heavy. He nevert hurt BJS, nor could he drop O'Sullivan, Chudinov, or Blackwell despite continually nailing them with flush, loaded up power shots; it may have actually turned out better for Blackwell if Jr. were a banger and had stopped him earlier.
He does throw in combo well though, and seems to have a solid beard. He'd be high on my list of people who I think would take the fight to GGG and try to rough him up, which I think is generally the best approach to take.

Good call, I don't think he hits as hard as the likes of GGG, Stevens or Lemieux and probably not as hard as Jacobs.crusader wrote:Don't think Eubank's hands are that heavy.
