the heavies are an embarrassment

Post by man »

the best guys continue to find all kinds of reasons
not to fight each other. this is not career management
any longer this is cowardice. but here is one idea that
is even better in protecting your precious "0": stop
fighting altogether.

i had high hopes for this year and the heavies.
could not have been more wrong and it is quite
fitting for this state of the division that the "man"
has a nervous breakdown.

Patience, man. The HW div is more interesting than it has been in well over a decade.

Joshua and Klitschko are fighting... Ruiz finally got a shot at a top ranked guy but was robbed... Povetkin is willing... Ortiz is willing to fight anyone... The punks are Wilder, Parker, Haye, Pulev, Fury and a few other timid souls.

Fury, Pulev, and Haye have all fought the greatest heavyweight of their generation.

Wilder and Parker haven't great opposition, but that hardly makes them "punks".

Oh yeah, and Fury won

Yeah Wilder shouldn't have let Povetkin take PEDs, oldest trick in the book to get out of a fight.

So there's the excuse for not fighting Povetkin...what about everybody else in the top 15-20?

Forget about those guys.

2016 has been a bad year for them, but 2017 is looking more promising.

Stick with the cruisers: a far more interesting division where the best are actually willing to fight each other.

Not sure who the OP is referring to really. Timing wise, it seems that things are being made about as well as they could be in all honesty.

Wilder wanted Wada/Vada, the only compagnie that he knew from would fail to do their job properly when it comes to Meldonium to be involved and even begged for it at the WBC. He was right, Wada failed and Wilder received his excuse to waste even more time and even fought someone else who recently got busted as well for using something on the same list of Wada as Meldonium. Somehow that guy was a bum, so he loved to fight him.

He didn't take any PED's ... VADA and the WBC admitted the accused Povetkin unfairly -- and that he was clean and passed all his PED tests.

I think with this latest addition you're going to find the same thing... I don't think Povetkin is an idiot who takes banned substances... I think VADA and the WBC are criminal organizations who hold boxers up for donations and fines and overpriced madatory PED testing that is 2nd rate at best...

Brandon Rios was found dirty on a VADA test when he fought Pacquiao... He swore he didn't take anything -- and the Chinese testing agency, which tests their Olympic athletes and is very professional, cleared Rios in all of their tests -- which were done at the same time as the VADA tests.

That's not accurate , he got off sighting a technicality but strictly speaking by the testimony of a professor at one on vada labs he was guilty and his sample contained a volume of banned substance that's consistent with a weeks ingestion.

The whole ' it was in my system from before' was nonsense as povetkin tested clean twice before popping..

i hear you guys. maybe it is just me. i
am just tired of these unbeaten heavies
in their thirties waiting for whatever ...

half of them probably retire unbeaten
with some second gear title.

plus i think wlad is a very easy fight for
joshua, so to me it doesn't really qualify
as a gutsy matchup by one of the young
guns ...

You're ignorant and stupid at the same time you idiot... There are no "technicalities" in drug testing... Either you're OVER the allowable concentration or you PASS the test because you're UNDER the allowable concentration... Povetkin had 1/15th of the allowable concentration in his sample for one test so he passed very easily.. They found no trace in his other tests which is perfectly normal.. You might test with no trace in one or more tests that you pass -- and with a tiny but allowable trace in your next test because you're less hydrated.. For dummies like you, that means you drank more water prior to some tests which diluted the level a bit so no trace was found.. The tests allow for this variance and Povetkin very easily passed all of them. I microgram was the allowable concentration and he had a small fraction of that in 1 test.. That was consistent with somebody not taking Meldonium since the news came out that it would be banned the 1st of this year.

Montero is an idiot who doesn't have a clue... VADA revised their findings on Povetkin and admitted he passed all his tests... They used weasel words like "It's impossible to prove Povetkin used Meldonium this year" ... Yes it's impossible to prove when he tests at less than 1/14th the allowable concentration you stupid bastards.. And I don't care about Stiverne's test. He took an over the counter supplement for workout recovery which is pretty stupid.. You know it has banned drugs in it so you don't take any suppliments.. You let your body work naturally.

I fought boxers who I knew were on steroids and they were easy to beat and knock out.. Steroids were legal and I never took them.. They hurt you. I don't believe they make anyone better... The best boxers in the world: Lomachenko, Russell, Gonzalez, Crawford, Thurman, Brook, Spence, Charlo, Andrade, Golovkin, Kovalev, Ward, Usyk, and Joshua don't take PED's of any kind and they don't need to.. They don't even think about it and don't worry if their opponents might be using them.. They wouldn't be any better if they took them.. Boxing is a skill sport and any unnatural chemical adulterations to your body will throw your reactions off a tad.

A punk wouldnt knock out all but one opponent in 30+ Fights and its not easy becoming world heavyweight champion is it? Ruiz fight was same as chisora and whyte as in it was hard to pick a clear winner,no robbery there pal, povetkin is in the business of taking peds and if i was a heavyweight i wouldnt wanna risk my health and well being fighting a cheat so povetkin will be lucky to get a title shot in future

wilder's ascent to the WBC belt was among
the easiest ever in my opinion and i still need
to see one dangerous opponent he is willing
to face. i mean really willing to face not just

i hear you. my frustration with all
this BS was the reason to start the
thread.

good thing about wlad-joshua is
that at least some two real athletes
will be in the ring and no overweight
hypejobs. plus they are both men who
can conduct themselves.

as much as i find it a gutsy move of
wlad i think it won't be beautiful.
