Potential? Are You crazy? That fight was the ultimate display of someone fulfilling their potential. He has beat six or seven ex world champions and is still a world champion himself, undefeated for god knows how many years. If that does not deserve credit then I wonder to myself what the point is of watching boxing. It seems that only a finite few boxers would satisfy u. Its crazy, boxing is to be enjoyed!
Your comments show a really flawed philosophy and knowledge base with regards boxing. Calzaghe boxed a masteclass and added another belt to his, end of. Say well done and move on.

Like to see a classy counterpuncher outbox Calzaghe, who people don't realise is very quick.
Takaloo's sparred with Joe and said he's got fantastic handspeed and is extremely strong.
The only one you list who fits the description in my book is Robin Reid - and this fight Calzaghe almost lost.
But we seem to agree that it would be interesting to see Calzaghe in such a matchup. Btw, I'm not married to the idea of Joe fighting Kessler; Kessler just seems to be the best around at this stage, and if Joe wants to fight the best this is his natural opponent. But I'd also watch Calzaghe-Mundine with interest, or Calzaghe-Beyer. I would also take Calzaghe-Erdei. Calzaghe against any reasonably strong opponent who isn't taylor-made for Calzaghe's style.

Are you ten years of age? Banging on about hand made crap. Calzaghe has the skills to beat ALL types, hence why he is world champion. And the reason for his ability to beat all? Cos he can box as good as any.

F.rank Warren is a genius.
The more posts of yours I read the more I am convinced of your juvenile jealousy and blinkered view of boxing. You truly must be a child and at minimum, a tosser.

You mean because it would make you 13-year-old look big?
We talk about boxing knowledge once you display some. The fact of the matter is: Calzaghe can only beat tomato cans and limited ring-bullies, handselected by Frank W.arren.

Then why are people still calling for him to unify SMW? Because they feel he still has work to do. If you see Lacy after his bout with Calzaghe as anything more than a Strong chinned power puncher, then you have serious issues.
Even I have admitted Lacy is limited, and I actually like Jeff. Joe's camp knew he could handle a fighter like Jeff, and Joe carried through with it. Jeff was taylor-made and perfectly suited for Joe.

Nah mate, youve got your blinkers on. Top American pros were astonished by Calzaghes skill. He has a great record and has beaten plenty of ex world champions. He has two belts at one weight. That is his legacy. Millions of fighters never get close to a world championship. Calzaghe has proved himself beyond doubt.

Yeah, I'm so bitter. SOOOObitter because I predicted that limited Lacy would get KOed within 6, while he was still standing after 12. And hence I'm still not in positive territory in the "pick the big fights" competition.

Yep u really are bitter, its embarrassing! You r gutted cos Calzaghe proved the likes of you wrong beyond doubt! He may has well have kicked your ass in there, cos it seems to hurt u as much!

As said, he proved me wrong in so far as I thought he would TKO Lacy - and Lacy was still standing after 12...
.... that he can beat limited, taylor-made, hand-selected sluggers.
But you know what? I knew this before the Lacy fight.
P
He demonstrated round after round the beautiful craft of boxing. Joe showed he is a master of the art. And that clearly hurts you. You are pretty much a lone voice. The public loved every minute of that fight, as did all the pros, amatuers, trainers, promoters - it was great for boxing and Joe should be proud. Dont be bitter.

Oh, I loved every minute of the fight.
Still, it doesn't show more than that Joe Calzaghe can beat a hand-selected, taylor-made, limited, over-hyped opponent - in line with what he's done the 10 years before that fight.

The beautiful craft of boxing vs a guy who let him do whatever he wanted due to his limitations as a boxer, and lack of ability to change styles during a fight. Lacy was a statue, and he allowed Joe to pick him off from the outside all night.

No, he gave Jeff a world class beating, but that doesn't put him in the World beating class...you got that mixed up.

That performance certainly does make him a world beater. He fought perfectly to rip that world belt from Lacy's face. DOuble world champion, did himself proud. Be humbled!

Piece of art when your opponent is a dressed-up punching ball.
And now please your parrot phrase:
........
Pundit you are embarrasing yourself. I wonder why it upsets you so that Joe put up a perfect fight. Just be proud to have watched him Parrot boy! Read ya posts loser
