Chris Eubank Jr is ranked No 7 by the WBC
Chris Eubank Jr. is now ranked No 7 in the world by the WBC at super-middleweight – despite never having fought at 168lbs.
The once-beaten Brightonian recently announced he will move to super-middleweight, having previously won the British middleweight title, to fight lightly regarded Renold Quinlan.
While at 160lbs he was ranked at No 2 by the WBC, one behind Jorge Sebastian Heiland. Now, despite not yet actually fighting at super-middleweight, he has leapt into the top 10 at 168lbs, one place behind Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, in the most recent batch of ratings.

All of Eubank Jr's bouts, barring seven of them, have been technically fought at super-middleweight.Ruthless-RKO wrote:Chris Eubank Jr. is now ranked No 7 in the world by the WBC at super-middleweight – despite never having fought at 168lbs.
The WBC shouldn't have rated him as their 7th best contender at the 168lbs weight class, though.

I think weve seen this before with fighters with a decent history in the division below moving up and getting an immediate ranking

I'd rank him at least that high... I think he beats just about anybody in that division.Enlightened-One wrote:All of Eubank Jr's bouts, barring seven of them, have been technically fought at super-middleweight.Ruthless-RKO wrote:Chris Eubank Jr. is now ranked No 7 in the world by the WBC at super-middleweight – despite never having fought at 168lbs.
