"Pound for pound" is sheer BS and it was invented by Ring magazine as a space filler in their stupid magazine and now it's supposed to be some kind of official ranking. How does Ring magazine stay in business anyway? Who would buy that thing with months old info now that we have the internet, people with no computer access?

Kalan wrote:The list is recycled BS... Gonzalez looked terrible in his last fight. He lost on my card and he was almost crying because he was expecting to lose -- and I don't agree with quite a few names on the list. Frampton doesn't have the skills of an elite fighter and Gary Russell would knock him out. Rigondeaux doesn't seem interested anymore. Ward got floored and beaten up in his last fight... Alvarez is too much of a ducker to be a Top-10 guy.

1. Lomachenko... 2. Golovkin... 3. Joshua... 4. Kovalev... 5. Russell... 6. Usyk... 7. Ortiz... 8. Spence... 9. Crawford... 10. Eubank... 11. Brook... 12. M. Garcia

What about Lebron James?

The last time I bought a Ring Magazine 05-06? Ricky Hatton was on the cover after beating Tszyu. The really old 40, 50,60's Ring Magazine are cool to read. The ones where they have the fight card breakdown's. Sometimes you can find them at big sport card shows.

I agree. The antique ones would be interesting. But I have zero interest in the contemporary mag and its stupid space fillers.

In its heyday, KO magazine was more popular than Ring. Now, I could skim a Ring Magazine in 5 minutes and put it back on the rack. I think Golden Boy is keeping it alive even though it probably doesn't make a profit.

Roman G is not the top P4P fighter in the world. Any list that has him as their top fighter loses credibility with me. Then you follow it up with Ward at #2? Yup, i don't need to see any more names. It's a shat list.

RG's last two fights were not dominating performances and he really took a beating in that last one. To me, that drops you down a list like this. What would happen if GGG beats Jacobs but takes a beating while doing it? He'll drop quickly in the rankings. I just wish we stopped with this RG madness. He's a great little fighter but he's not the top P4P fighter in the world. He wouldn't even be in my top 5
