I think Lennox has more about him than to do that. I couldn't care if he is gay or not, I just find it hard to believe that he'd tuck up his mrs like that. He's always seemed a fairly decent chap.

Had the pleasure of being in the company of Lennox several times over the years and two things were apparent 1) he is a total down to earth, respectful gentleman and 2) he definitely had an eye for the ladies ( this was when he was single, before he was married ).

I can tell you Lennox had his fair share of women, but he kept it private, he once asked me about the rumours, but I said, its cause your a private person and unfortunately, there are a lot of rumour mongers out there with nothing better to do.

Where precisely DID these rumours start?

Was it after he split with Maloney? I find it hard to remember the precise timeline, but wasn't there some talk that Maloney was going to dish something about it in his autobiography, before the legal team got hold of it? Am I imagining this?

I couldn't care less if he is or he isn't, but I've never seen anything credible to back it up.

Well, if Lennox is gay or bisexual, does it change anything? He was great boxer and seems like a decent person. I know, some people said Lennox is/was slightly arrogant, but he never killed anybody, never did bad things like stabbing his brother or beating his mother. Of course, famous photo with him and Maloney both wrapped in British flag might look funny now, but does it change his boxing legacy? No! Does it change the fact that he behaved like a good, normal person outside of the ring? No!

I agree - I don't know what he does day to day but I think he could do wonders helping young people, imagine being inspired by one of the best ever heavyweight champions?

That reminds me, he did start a Lennox Lewis foundation or something in London a few years ago but I think it fell by the wayside. It would be good to see something similar.

So this small time promoter (Maloney) who liked to secretly go to gay clubs suddenly signs the Olympic super heavy weight gold medalist the hottest ticket in boxing , before that Maloney was dealing with southern area level fighters . I'm not saying Lennox was 100% gay but if he was it would make his choice of signing with Maloney a bit more understandable Lennox might of felt more comfortable with frank .
