That was clearly to symbolise that Pulev is twice the fighter that Joshua is.

jezzamundo wrote:BWH Rankings as of 18 November 2016:

Champion in Recess: Tyson Fury
1. Wladimir Klitschko
2. Alexander Povetkin
3. Deontay Wilder
4. Anthony Joshua
5. Luis Ortiz
6. Kubrat Pulev
7. Joseph Parker
8. Bryant Jennings
9. Carlos Takam
10. Vyacheslav Glazkov
11. Lucas Browne
12. Andy Ruiz
13. Dillian Whyte
14. Dereck Chisora
15. Bermane Stiverne

Topic A - The following fighters have been inactive for a period of one year or more:
Tyson Fury (no fight scheduled)
Wladimir Klitschko (has a fight scheduled with Anthony Joshua for 29 April 2017)
Bryant Jennings (no fight scheduled)
Bermane Stiverne (pulled out of a fight last weekend due to his opponent failing a drug test)
How should this affect their rankings?

My vote:

Fury - OUT (title becomes vacant)
W.Klitschko - remains at #1
Jennings - OUT
Stiverne - remains at #15

Topic B - How are the rankings affected by Alexander Povetkin's KO6 win over Johann Duhaupas?

My vote: abstain - I'm not sure what to make of his recent failed drug test

Topic C - Lucas Browne has failed a second drug test - how does this affect his ranking?

My vote: abstain - same reason

Note: This topic is for voting on the rankings of T.Fury, W.Klitschko, Jennings, Stiverne, Povetkin, Duhaupas and Browne. Posting your own top 15 will not count as a vote. Please cast your vote in the manner that I have done above.
Boxing is in such a mess right now you could easily turn your current rankings upside down and no one would really care.

Fury out.

It will be long time before hes back to ring. If he ever will be.

Klitchko no change

Inactivity is not hes own fault.

Jennings out.

If he gets back to ring he should soon be back on this list.

Stiverne no change

I think he is still in the game and will probably fight again soon.

Povetkin no change.

All top boxers are doped to the eye balls. Some get caught some don't.

Browne no change.

Taking methylhexanamine might be just a mistake. It is found in many supplements and can be taken by accident or stupidity.

Jennings beat Artur Szpilka and Mike Perez (though I don't know much about him), Ruiz put in a very credible performance vs Parker, and Wilder has beaten Stiverne, Szpilka, and Duhaupas. Though I do think Joshua should be in the top 10. He's shown enough for that.
Yeah but are Jennings, Ruiz and Takam's wins that good that they push Joshua out the top 10?

Also this list is so good, it has Pulev twice...
Like I said, I'm not convinced. Clearly Pulev is in a quantum superposition.

Put you're convinced about Jennings, Ruiz and Takam? I'm not saying you have to take Joshua to the top, I'm just saying credit, where credit is due.

These rankings have no credibility without Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury is the champion.

If someone had replaced Fury as champion I would agree with you. He is no longer an active boxer, he has dropped his belts, been inactive for over a year and tested positive for a banned (though not performance enhancing) substance. No question that he is still the lineal champion.

Klitschko's just as inactive.

12 months is not a long time to be out of the ring in boxing.

People need to get over this 12 months inactivity nonsense.

True, though Klitschko's inactivity is through absolutely no fault of his own - he wanted to fight. According to the rules I made for these rankings, 12 months of inactivity and a fighter's ranking is up for vote. Generally if they have a fight scheduled, or have been inactive due to injury, they are left in.
