Murat Gassiev vs. Krzysztof Glowacki Clash in Play For 2017?

According to Polish promoter Andrzej Wasilewski, we could very well see a 2017 showdown between IBF cruiserweight world champion Murat Gassiev (24-0, 17 KOs) and former WBO champion Krzysztof Glowacki (26-1, 16 KOs).

Both fighters are advised by Al Haymon and this fight could could very well occur as part of a televised card for Premier Boxing Champions in the United States. Both Gassiev and Glowacki are promoted in the United States by Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing.

"Glowacki is a fighter who has twice been showcased on American television. The promoters for Gassiev want to promote him in the United States, so they searching for opponents. The American audience knows [Glowacki] and he will be accepted by American television. Krzysztof is the kind of fighter [that Gassiev's team needs]," said Wasilewski in a televised interview on Polish television.

Glowacki is no pushover. It would be just as tough for Gassiev to beat him as it was for him to beat Lebedev, which I thought was very close.

Cruisers don't play. Shit, you normally hear fans even saying, "so and so deserves an easy fighter after..." Gassiev already going back in the trenches after upsetting Lebedev. Also, Glowacki will likely shine better in this fight than what he did against Usyk from a stylistic standpoint.

Great fight for the Cruiserweight division. Champion VS Former Champion.

I favor Glowacki in this matchup. Gassiev is a one dimensional fighter in my opinion. He's got a lot of power, but doesn't throw enough punches. I thought he lost to virtually every single round to Lebedev minus the knockdown round. Also, outside of Lebedev, Gassiev has a poor resume.
