Think I had Okada vs Hosokawa 9-1 or 8-2 to Valentine, he got hosed big time

Hooker vs Perez was the biggest robbery going by the fight not been close at all but I voted Ward vs Kovalev because it was the bigger fight with more at stake.

The only disputed fight from the comments is Ward-Kovalev so it can't be robbery of the year because it the most disputed right?

That's how you get robberies.
There's "robberies". And there's giving a fighter a win in a close fight. Kovalev was NOT "robbed". He was beatenin a close fight. Most people that think Kovalev was robbed are casual fans that don't appreciate "the sweet science".
You're an idiot and a casual fan at best... The sweet science allows you to jab with greater power and precision and less effort...and drive your opponent to the ropes... The sweet science allows you to time your opponent's rushes and deck him with a power punch... The sweet science isn't about grabbing, wrestling, pushing, using your shoulders and head for leverage, and landing muffled body shots that are having no effect... Ward fought a dirty fight -- not a scientific fight.

It would be easier to just try to make a list of honest boxing judge decisions. The Las Vegas ripoff of Kovalev was the most high profile robbery, though.

How can people say the Ward fight was the worst robbery when most of them had it within one or two points? McDonnell/Solis was pretty bad, form the ones I've seen at least

Was a pretty close fight with almost all of those scoring it in the range of 7-5 to either fighter. Calling that a robbery is absurd.

All the time you see made up quotes, or quotes taken out of context, and then they put somebody's name after it, usually Hitler or some other German whose name pops into their head. You see this constantly on the internet. I'm sure no defender of the commie scum lenin but where is the citation for that quote? And what's your point anyway?

I started googling it in Russian, and found that it was Goebbels who said that. Feel free to find it in English or German.

A priest told me we can't see God in his divinity. We'll need a glorified body and eyes to see him and his surroundings. We would die if we saw him with human eyes. We've all seen many artists' depictions of Christ, and actors playing him. God became man so he could share man's experience and sufferings and be a role model. Every time we jot down the date we commemorate his life - the most famous human in history. His divinity is something we can't grasp in our earthly form. As a poor anology, certain images of celestial bodies can't be observed with earthly eyes. Here's a full-disk multiwavelength extreme ultraviolet image of the sun.Image

Good post, Kalan. As for the post before, note what I just said before that about conjuring up names, usually German, to affix to made up or inacurate or taken out of context quotes.

That is the point. It does not matter who said it. The words assemble a truth, no matter who it is attributed to, rightly or wrongly.

What is interesting to me is that people jump to the conclusion that the statement is somehow more or less sinister depending on who it is attributed to.

It is simply accurate.

It accomplished exactly what I wanted to accomplish. It really doesn't matter who the quote is attributed to, it is the truth. It is not false or more sinister depending on who said it. That is just perception.

It also does not matter who repeats the same lie, eventually it will become accepted as truth because so many different people have accepted it and repeated it.

The reason that I suggested that you visit Offal Topic with your quote is because we have an excellent discussion going on about what people believe in that is directly related to my quote in this thread.

I didn't see any of the fights except Kovalev vs. Ward. I scored it dead even a draw. Don't think it was a robbery. Don't think Ward outright won the fight like either. A immediate rematch is needed. Like to see it.
