What was the worst robbery of 2016?

It's probably a low-profile fight that isn't even listed here. Kovalev-Ward wasn't a robbery because it was so close, but it's by far the highest profile fight listed so I can see why those who scored the fight for Kovalev would think it was the biggest robbery.

Kovalev v Ward. After the first six rounds there was no way Ward could win without knock downs,that's what makes it so bad.

I don't see how anybody calls it close... If you score the same number of punches and each boxer is equally aggressive.. and nobody gets knocked down, then you can say it was close.. If one boxer is more aggressive, chases his opponent to the ropes many times and lands better and more punches.. and scores a solid knockdown.. They were looking for rounds to give to Ward.. That's how you get robberies.

There's "robberies". And there's giving a fighter a win in a close fight. Kovalev was NOT "robbed". He was beatenin a close fight. Most people that think Kovalev was robbed are casual fans that don't appreciate "the sweet science".

You're an idiot and a casual fan at best... The sweet science allows you to jab with greater power and precision and less effort...and drive your opponent to the ropes... The sweet science allows you to time your opponent's rushes and deck him with a power punch... The sweet science isn't about grabbing, wrestling, pushing, using your shoulders and head for leverage, and landing muffled body shots that are having no effect... Ward fought a dirty fight -- not a scientific fight.

That is the point. It does not matter who said it. The words assemble a truth, no matter who it is attributed to, rightly or wrongly.

What is interesting to me is that people jump to the conclusion that the statement is somehow more or less sinister depending on who it is attributed to.

It accomplished exactly what I wanted to accomplish. It really doesn't matter who the quote is attributed to, it is the truth. It is not false or more sinister depending on who said it. That is just perception.

It also does not matter who repeats the same lie, eventually it will become accepted as truth because so many different people have accepted it and repeated it.
