Surely Briggs can get some "sideshow" fights? The press love him, you'd think he would be popping up on undercards all over the shop. An easy opponent, a few grand, what he brings in publicity is gold surely.

He never had a chance, his opponents scared out, doped, ducked, or several of these things. He's still waiting for someone to show up.
Didn't you say earlier that Briggs ducked Parker, wasn't that his big chance?
Briggs said at the time that he wasn't after the new generation, he was after all the fake champs, like Wilder, Daffy, he also considered Klitschko to be fake. He's mainly after the elderly boxers, he's after Browne as well.

He doesn't want to fight against Parker, Whyte, Miller, Granat, Bryan, Wallin, Kabayel, Wallisch, Rivas. Out of all of them, only Parker challenged him. And Daffy did as well, but ducked him once he realised Briggs was too much of a risk for him.

So in short, Briggs basically wants an unearned payday against the biggest name possible? Pretty much what everyone has been saying since this farcical comeback began. Maybe he should earn it rather than just chatting shite?

Briggs got a chance against Lennox. He got flattened. He got a chance against Vitali. He got hospitalised. He got a chance against Ibragimov. He lost every round.

He's had three title shots, barely won a round and has been floored on multiple occasions.

How can he earn it if nobody dares to fight him?

Of course people would dare to fight him. He's in his 40s, and hasn't done anything that's even close to being relevant for years.

It's Briggs that doesn't dare fight anybody who won't make him big money, because he knows he'll get found out.

This really isn't rocket science.

He's not interested in your run of the mill fights, he wants a big name that will put his name up in lights on PPV so he can swan off into the sunset a rich man.

He's pinning the Haye fight not happening on Haye, but it was his PPV demand that stopped the fight from happening.

If he can beat someone of note, he might be taken more seriously but with that comes the risk of defeat and if that were to happen his big PPV fight goes out the window.

Then why couldn't Eddie Hearn get any fight for him? And why did they need someone all the way from Argentina on Daffy his undercard? Briggs wants, it's all the others that don't dare, this really isn't rocket science.

Because he's totally shot, a shell of a fighter and a man.

Frankly he's an embarrassment who should slink away silently, move on with his life in a dignified manner and take time to reflect on the fantastic careeer he had when he was actually a boxer not the carnival freak show he wants to be now.

The fact he refused the Haye fight unless it was on PPV after months of pantomime with him show were Briggs intentions lie. $€¥£

Can we just move on from this ridiculous thread?

We've answered the question. Briggs wants big money fights, not fights that will build his way back into contention.

Anybody who acts like Briggs can't get a fight because the entire heavyweight division is too scared to fight him is either monumentally stupid or is pretending to be to troll the forum.

What do you mean ridiculous. It was a perfectly good question.

The question has been answered on several occasions, and you still get people acting like it hasn't.

Briggs isn't being ducked by the entire heavyweight division. It's him that doesn't want to take most fights.

That was Daffy Duck his bullshit, had nothing to do with reality, in reality Briggs never asked for anything like this and as soon as he heard Daffy saying this he immedietly stated it's not true.

I suppose Briggs has made himself known to enough people that his nonsense will have rubbed off on a couple. Hence those suggesting he's being ducked.

Ultimately he's a character, but not a serious contender, and for all his 'let's go champ' schtick the big boys simply aren't interested, and he knows that to legitimately get to them he'd need to work his way up, and physically he just isn't going to do that anymore.

No it Is true. Briggs thought it was a PPV fight. Haye knew it wasn't.
Briggs wants a ton of money to fight these guys but in reality doesn't bring much to the table himself apart from a pantomime routine and catchphrase.

He pretty much gave Daffy nearly a million during his last fight?! While never receiving a dime himself.

100%

He knows he can't realistically work his way to a legitimate title shot by beating other contenders, first live body he faces, he loses.
