Szpilka-Breazeale & Mansour-Kauffman added to Wilder-Wawrzyk card
Three heavyweight fights.
Main event is an ugly mismatch, but the other two are competitive fights.

I like this!
Nice to see both Szpilka and Breazeale back in action after their respective beatings. I'm not sure who's favourite in that. Szpilka made a good account of himself against Wilder, and Breazeale showed a lot of heart and sturdy chin, albeit a bit plodding. Fancy a close points decision.
Less interested in Mansour and Kauffman. An ageing Mansour against a underwhelming Kauffman.
I hope this is aired on British TV.

These are actually interesting fights. Hopefully they actually go ahead. Szpilka on points and Mansour by stoppage.
Re: Szpilka-Breazeale & Mansour-Kauffman added to Wilder-Wawrzyk card
I would much rather see Szpilka vs Mansour. Mansour is old and past it, but still a level above Breazeale. Kauffman a good match-up?
Both of these fights are as bad or worse than the main event.

Well...we know who Wilder's 6th title defense is. Mansour vs Kauffman might as well be a WBC Eliminator because you know whoever wins that is getting the call.

Szpilka should be too much for Breazeale, but you can never tell when a fighter is coming back from a heavy knockout.
This will probably be Kauffman's coming out party that he should have gotten against Arreola. He's far from world class, but I think he'll beat Mansour.
And I agree with Gil, there is a reason these fights are happening on the undercard. I think one of the winners will be the next WBC challenger.

Great fights! I just hope they wont be eliminators for Wilders belt, like someone else pointed out.
Re: Szpilka-Breazeale & Mansour-Kauffman added to Wilder-Wawrzyk card
They will be. Mansour vs Kauffman almost definitely is. I doubt Wilder would fight Szpilka again if he were to beat Breazeale, but Breazeale might get a shot if he were to beat Szpilka.Gnome wrote:Great fights! I just hope they wont be eliminators for Wilders belt, like someone else pointed out.

Not at all. Mansour goes for it. They'd both be hurt.Rob3_142 wrote:You're kidding, right?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Wilder/mansour would be a lot of fun.

Mansour is 3 years older than Klitschko and about half the fighter. I'm not sure what you think would be good about it.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Not at all. Mansour goes for it. They'd both be hurt.Rob3_142 wrote:You're kidding, right?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Wilder/mansour would be a lot of fun.

Wilder's no Klitschko either. He's vulnerable, chinny and has leaky defense. He'd likely get hit and hurt a few times by Mansour even if he managed to come out on top.Rob3_142 wrote:Mansour is 3 years older than Klitschko and about half the fighter. Lots of props to the Szpilka - Breazeale fight. It's not too late for either one of them to have a career resurgence, and each one of them has a good win. Plus, it's very evenly matched. Winner of this fight is definitely top 20, maybe top 15, depending on decisiveness of the outcome. The loser is probably out of the top 25, maybe out of the top 30.
Mansour - Kauffman is slightly less exciting, but still rather solid. Kauffman has only had one really relevant test like this, against Chris Arreola. I think Mansour probably wins this by a margin of 9-3 or competitive stoppage; but at least it would give him enough momentum to go on and make another interesting fight against a top 35 opponent like Jarrell Miller, Trevor Bryan, or Andrey Fedosov.

Re: Szpilka-Breazeale & Mansour-Kauffman added to Wilder-Wawrzyk card
I think Szpilka was flattered by his bout with Wilder (same goes for Molina).
Szpilka was outclassed and stopped by Jennings, got put on his ass in multiple fights against Mike Mollo, and really doesn't have a notable win other than his decision over shopworn Adamek, who had lost more convincingly to lacklustre Glazkov before that. I'm slightly leaning toward the big lump catching up to AS, though he's got marked limitations in speed and defense, and I can easily see Szpilka outboxing him for a UD.
