right

but the timeline goes this way lennox lewis - vitaly klitschko - anthony joshua

dont forget vitaly, nobody won rds against lewis like he did. prime vitaly had power, iron chin and height, rech, a devil combination for anybody lewis and josh included.

..that certainly remains to be seen..I'd say let's wait 8-10 years..
We all know Vitali Klitschko beat Lewis... He was winning on all scorecards -- and those cuts were ripped open with foul blows early in the 3rd... the corrupt referee ignored the fouls or that fight would have gone to the scorecards with VK winning a TD in 6 -- like Ward-Kessler went to the scorecards because of fouls

Anthony Joshua would have knocked Lennox Lewis out in 2 rounds... faster than those other 2 guys flattened Lewis.

Who has Joshua faced that would suggest he'd stand a chance with an ATG heavyweight like Lewis? The evidence of you being the worst poster on BoxRec is rapidly mounting. At least Bnovelist is entertaining.

You're not entertaining... You're an idiot... Hasim Rahman was knocked out TWICE by the lowly Oleg Maskaev... In between those 2 KO losses Rahman managed to KO Lennox Lewis... That tells me that Lewis could be reached pretty easily... Joshua's chin is not as available.

Dillian Whyte is better than Hasim Rahman.. Whyte would dispatch a China chin like Oleg Maskaev in a hurry.. Vitali Klitschko caught Lewis with beautiful right hand counters in the first 2 rounds of their fight that had Lewis rocking and reeling all over the place -- before he was blinded by blood from foul blow slashed cuts, which hampered his fight -- but he was still winning on all cards all the way.

Joshua has the best right hand leads and right hand counters in Boxing... Since Lewis was knocked cold TWICE by right hands -- I don't see LL surviving

Who said I was entertaining? You're actually a reasonably knowledgeable and have made some good posts from time-to-time, but I and others get sick of the know-it-all tone you use, especially when you make outlandish claims and state them as if they are fact and yours is the only correct opinion. Joshua is good, but hasn't faced the level of competition to deserve the kind of adulation you are giving him. I hope he beats Wlad in April, but wouldn't be shocked to see the old man win, seeing as he is leagues better than anyone Joshua has faced to date - and if on-form, has a better jab and faster feet than Joshua. If Wlad looks as bad (or worse) as he did against Fury, I expect Joshua to win handily.

That's YOUR idea of the competition Joshua has faced to date... He smashed all those guys out so easily that it really doesn't matter that they weren't tremendously accomplished.. Four in a row were undefeated in 78 fights, until a stay busy fight with Eric Molina who had 3 losses.

He's already displayed his skills.. After he beats Wladimir, Parker, Haye, Ortiz, Povetkin, and Wilder you'll still be dissing him.

Of course it matters that they weren't tremendously accomplished. You place too great a significance on records. Displaying skills is all well and good, but displaying those skills in an effective way against elite competition is another thing entirely and something we're yet to see Joshua do. Allan Green looked impressive until he stepped up.

If he beats Wlad, I will be rating Joshua as the #1 heavyweight in the world. I don't believe I've ever dissed Joshua. He will still have a way to go to be considered an ATG, but he's young and has plenty of time to do so if he's good enough.

Here's the problem with that way of thinking... What great Heavyweight did Dempsey ever beat??? NONE! ... Tunney beat one - supposedly Dempsey. Dempsey ate a lot of punches, but he was the outstanding Heavyweight of the early 20's---an era with no competition---so I guess he was fantastic.

People were calling Mike Tyson an ATG and he hadn't fought a good young Heavyweight... After he got knocked out by a 42-1 underdog they continued to call him an ATG.. Maybe he was...but he didn't box extremely well.. He ate punches and ran weak competition over like a Sherman Tank.. Those guys weren't that big, tall, strong, fast, powerful, or skilled... and if they were they kicked Tyson's ass. He lost a few fights. What would happen if AJ lost to a massive 42-1 underdog?? I know that's the kind of question people don't like to answer around here.

Joshua hasn't faced any outstanding young Heavyweights either.. He's undefeated in 3 World Heavyweight Championship Fights.. Are his opponents any worse than Firpo, Bruno, Baer, Cockell, McNeeley, Norton, Grant, Golota, and a bunch of swingers and China-chins with 2nd rate skills who led with their face??? Klitschko was knocked out 3 times before he got anywhere close to the skills Joshua has.. He never really came on until he was about 33 -- and he's still missing attacking, infighting, and body punching skills.. So I think you evaluate somebody on the skills they actually have.. Do they have a stance, jab, footwork, left hook, right counter, and body attack? Can they cut the ring off? How's their defense?? Do they eat a lot of punches?? Or not?

Those glass jawed frauds like Klitschko ,Wilder or cheaters like Povetkin are just joke.

Let's not forget David Haye who fights corpses in his awesome comeback.

Based on your first post maybe you've taken too many punches in the head because I can barely tell what it is you're trying to say.

I'm American, and I think Anthony Joshua has great potential but he's got a ways to go before he equals Wlad's achievements.
I'm a Londoner, who lives in America & I agree.

And so does Joshua. He has the utmost respect for Wladimir.
