For me, those babyleagues are like the paralympics, you're not the best, you're the best of people with all kinds of limits.

Many people can't compete with you, not because they aren't any good, but simply because of their weight.

We all know AJ would easely beat Mayweather, like we all know Usain Bolt runs faster as I do. Somehow Usain Bolt is 195 centimer and I'm 185 cm, so maybe I'm a better runner anyway!
Has the forum been taken over by idiots today
No, it's just that asdfjkl's posts are contructed the same way he chose his username, randomly hitting keys.

I sometimes wonder if guys like this just smash their heads against the keyboard in the hope of saying something that makes sense.
I've literally laughed for 2 minits in a row after reading this post XD.

Yeah some good Japanese fights last night. Actually heard it had been cancelled then was surprised seeing the results! Going to check the Ioka fight out. He had to rise from a knockdown to win, in dramatic fashion, obviously. Ioka's one of my favourites, for the patient and methodical manner in which he breaks people down.

Good result for Inoue, destroying the durable and strong Kono.

Jeopardising his rematches with Cuadras and also Estrada, who gave him his hardest fights en route to being a world champion in four weights.

Now the money is not enough for him to make these fights, he's discovered that he's basically quality support to Gennady Golovkin shows and says he'd rather go back to fighting in Japan (no shame in that, by the way) that's have these hard rematches for not enough money.
He should be paid more money when you look around But as we know the sport isn't fair like much of life TBH

Quick google search just now I have seen Gonzalez was paid $400k for the Cuadras fight and 250k for the Viloria fight. Both top quality opposition in the weight classes those fights took place at.

Look at Deontay Wilder got paid 1.4mill to face a punch bag in Arreola and just over $1million to fight spzilka who is not top class but decent.

Erislandy Lara has no value what so ever but was paid $1million to fight a waste of airtime v Delvin Rodrguez. He was also paid $750,000 to fight Martirosyna who was a top 10 154lber.

This highlights why the sport is pretty messed up and particularly why PBC have wasted about 600m

I'm all for him going to Japan though if it means he fights Inoue.
Definitely, it'll never change. Remember Ricardo Lopez's epic win over Rosendo Alvarez, one truly great piece of boxing and fighting. And Cristy Martin got paid more on the same card. Late '90s

Shame we're not likely to see rematches with Estrada and Cuadras although he may find worthy challengers elsewhere.

Where did you hear they'd been cancelled? O_o The issue was the TV coverage which was totally fucked up! One card was on tape delay, the other was part of some over-arcing show that put things in a weird order

The small guys have forgotten more moves than the biggest guys will ever know. The skill level is generally higher, faster and you get more action packed fights.

Hard to relate as they are so small that you feel (erroneously) that you could give the little midgets a pasting yourself, which is related to why historically middleweights have been so fascinating as they are the same size as an average man. I look at them zipping around and think "hell I could take a full punch from these shrimps" so do not feel the thrill and excitement. However as said, in reality there are some corking matches around the feather / bantam classes.

One other thing is that there seem to be so many titles being swapped around the 118 and below area that every Asian sounding fighter seems to be a former world champion, three time champ, two division champ, reigning champ etc that the belts and stature of a champion seems particularly weak which is saying something in this era of cheap titles.

What, like that only applies at the lower weights, the lower weights pass belts around like confetti but the higher weights are somehow a bastion of the integrity of world title belts?

Nonsense. CHARLES MARTIN was a heavyweight world champion.

would actually prefer gonzalez vs Ioka, very experience for the number of fights he has, multi weight champion and a very poised offensive fighter. Actually reminds me of Arguello when I watch him.

Some of the most skilled and exciting fighters the UK has produced were little men. The likes of Lynch, Wilde, McGowan and Rudkin are proof of this. Who have I missed?
