Are you suggesting that Al Haymon should be held accountable for personally inflicting a shoulder injury that forced Beterbiev to suffer a one-year layoff?
Haymon is wasting Beterbiev - should make Beterbiev vs Stevenson but has no plans to do it and has not even tried to do it because Stevenson is a protected fraud -
Yvon Michel, who promotes Beterbiev and Stevenson, said that he was hoping to position the Russian for a shot at Sergey Kovalev. In fact, before suffering the shoulder injury, Artur was the mandatory challenger for the IBF strap that Krusher used to hold, before losing it to Andre Ward.

Yvon Michel admitted that the goal was for all the 175lb belts to be owned by GYM and PBC fighters.

There are currently no plans for Beterbiev to face Stevenson, since they are both on the same team and working in the same gym, so Yvon Michel says that he’s willing to match Artur against any 175lb-er barring the WBC champ.

None of this is new information… and if you’ve been following the sport, you’d surely realise this.

It doesn't make any difference... Fighters in the same stable have fought... If they're the best fighter and you're the champ you fight them... The only reason you wouldn't is if they're your sibling. I've never seen brothers fight even logical fights because who's going to KO their brother by birth?

All good excuses to protect Stevenson - and cheat fans out of a great fight - so what if stevenson loses by KO? PBC would rather choreograph in house WWE garbage fights than give fans a super fight - and people like you defend it

Haymon is protecting Spence from Brook? You are a freaking Loony Tune. Your hate for Haymon and Americans in general makes you look like an idiot.

Here we go. How many times are we going to anoint greatness to a fighter that hasn't even come close to being tested. Call me when Beterbiev, or whatever his name is, fights anyone legitimate. I've been hearing about this guy for years now. I've seen him fight a couple of times and he didn't look like anything special to me.

Ridiculous to even put him close to a conversation with Ward and Kovalev. He doesn't belong there. Fighters that do not take the tough fights to earn their accolades are not worth a darn thing to me. All a bunch of hot air.

You know that Beterbiev has a huge amateur background and technically has wins against Kovalev (one official and one in training camp) ?

That shoulder injury was fine for months before he got a fight... And since his first fight back he's been getting inappropriate fights -- extremely slowly.

Beterbiev had a long-term injury, has competed in two tune-ups since June and if he wins his next bout (an IBF title eliminator), he'll be in a position to either challenge Andre Ward (the champ) or compete for the vacant belt against the next highest challenger (Sergey Kovalev), which was always Yvonne Michel's long-term plan.

If people prefer your interpretation of the situation, because it's fun to be derogatory, then that's fine by me... I'll just stick to the plain old boring facts that accurately reflect real-world events.

Probably the most ridiculous comment i've replied to in years. Technically, he has NOTHING agains Kovalev actually. Training Camp? Really? So years ago, Beathisbeaver was better at practice than Kovalev? No way. Stop traffic. They didn't give him the belts for this? what a travesty.

Are you in love with Kovalev or something? Why can't you admit the obvious: they were at least on the same level in amateurs, Beterbiev has a much better inside game, plus likely hits harder and has a better chin ?

Kovalev himself says that he hasn't learned much since amateurs and JDJ is just holding mitts for him. He made similar comments about Turner and Sanchez too.

Honestly, you're just trying to say more ridiculous stuff to get me going right? I'm not as ruthless as most of the people in here so I'll just politely urge you to make sure you are taking your medicine & see a doctor because i think that you have a fever.

Kovalev turned pro over 8 years ago and he's been commonly called the most improved boxer in the sport from where he began and where he is now. JDJ deserves a TON of credit for developing him as a fighter and getting him to this level. The only thing more ridiculous than using sparring results to support an argument is using amateur fight results.

This kid MAY be as good as you say. I agree that I could be wrong but I'm just tired of hearing about this kid whose only had 11 fights and hasn't faced any opposition close to the level that Kovalev has. I'm sure that they will hand him a title shot soon though like Lomachenko instead of him earring it so we'll see then what we have.

“I’ve never used practices and tactics of U.S coaches,” said Kovalev. ”If I got to be honest, they’re all zeroes over there. Some think about them like they’re the best. These some are wrong,” said Kovalev.
I think Kovalev is wrong. His problem is that he is a lone wolf who is not listening to his American trainers, possibly because he can't understand them well.

Sanchez got rid of Kovalev for refusing to listen and he disparaged his sparring with Golovkin -- saying Kovalev was too hesitant and intimidated by Golovkin ... Kovalev would have been better off if he stayed with Sanchez and listened to him -- because he would have gotten tons of great sparring with Golovkin and they could feed off of each other.. Right now neither is getting great sparring, but the Cuban Sullivan Barrera is starting to come on.

Beterbiev beat Kovalev twice in the amateurs and is a better boxer... Haymon kicked Beterbiev down stairs and he's not getting any opportunities at all... After Mike Tyson was professional for 18 months he was 28-0 and the Heavyweight Champion.. That's how you match a tremendous puncher -- very actively and progressively because they don't get a lot of rounds when they do box.. Beterbiev is more than halfway through his 4th year as a professional and he has 11 fights to show for it.. Fighting as a Heavyweight, (201) Beterbiev lost to Oleksandr Usyk in the 2012 Olympics in a very close fight, 13-17.. Usyk is naturally bigger and taller but Beterbiev stayed with him.. Now Usyk is the dominant Cruiserweight with only 11 fights ... and Betebiev is nowhere.

Because Al Haymon is racist against white fighters and always gives top priority to black fighters - Beterbiev will never be anything but a pawn for Haymon - his career will be an unfulfilled mismanaged waste even worse than what happened to Paul Williams who was kept always in Floyd's shadow though he would have SLAUGHTERED Floyd at 147 -

Paul Williams was very quick, and had unbelievable reach and height for a Welterweight -- but I can think of one reason that Floyd Mayweather might have beaten Paul ... Williams had no jab.. Paul's stance and jab were both terrible so he couldn't use his reach and height to full advantage...and his defense had gaping holes in it.. William's jab was easily countered by Lara, who I had winning by 5 points.. Goosen had the judges bought and paid for..

Williams looked so down and demoralized before the decision was announced that Goosen quickly climbed into the ring to reassure him... "You're one bad mother Paul" or words to that effect.. but the hollow ring in his voice told me Goosen didn't even believe Williams really won.. Lara-Williams is one of the fights that convinces me Boxing is the most crooked spectator sport in the world..

Good post, I feel very similarly regarding a potential Williams-Mayweather matchup. Whatever the outcome, I don't think it would have been easy for either fighter.

I guess those guys don't get credit for two guys that's on everyone P4P list like Kovalev or Canelo. Beterbiev has done nothing but beat no names. If you think beating Prieto gets you Ward your sadly mistaking. Or did Williams deserve Floyd before or after the first Quintana.
Beterbiev is ready for anybody... He would beat Ward up and probably knock Ward out... Who did Lomachenko beat before he trounced Gary Russell???
His amateur status would tell you that he would at least be even terms with Russell.

Lara could beat Floyd too - Floyd looked more like a protected fighter who had the politics and corruption on his side making sure he won every time so the gravy train could roll on - Floyd looked like a protected fraud star not a dynamic incredible sensational machine that could drop your jaw like Ali like Tyson like Pacquiao like GGG like Leonard Duran Hagler Hearns - Floyd looked great at 135 but he looked like a protected pretender at 147 protected by the powers that be - protected by Haymon - protected by the Vegas establishment - protected by opponents who never really tried to hurt Floyd or insult or do anything to try to F*** him up - they all fought like hired patsies who knew the script was for them to lose to the protected cash cow - I've seen a lot of great fighters and Floyd was not on that level - the establishment manufactured and created Floyd to be an illusion that he was on that elite level - just my opinion - Something very suspect and fishy about Floyd - even his confidence seemed fake and hollow like he knew he was protected - Remember Floyd used to even boast: "God wont let me lose" which sounded like he knew Haymon had his back and so he could spout off absurd talk like that -
