idolized Muhammed Ali and if it weren't for Ali he wouldn't be in boxing! Floyd's daddy who introduced him to the sport at a very tender age
Mayweather Sr was fueled & motivated by Ali. No Muhammed Ali=No Floyd Mayweather Jr in boxing. The only reason he kissed ass when Ali died
was he was scared of the backlash. Floyd Mayweather is scum and I would pay top money to see him in the UFC octagon vs Conor. Seeing Floyd
get kicked & elbowed would be the funniest spectacle

he is scum. he has so much, yet so insecure. he didnt have robinson in his top 5 ever, cause he hates robinson cause he wants to be #1 ever and robinson is the biggest name in terms of who truly is the best boxer ever, instead of giving respect and puting him sugar behind him, he just totaly disrespects sugar by not even including him in his top 5.
Floyd's realizes that Ali laid on the ropes and got ripped like crazy... taking all kinds of unnecessary punishment because Ali didn't have the best skills... Ali had no inside game and no body attack... He pulled straight pack from blooping punches and got floored hard by little guys like 185-pound Henry Cooper.
Exactly how does "The Greatest" get beaten by a complete novice like the 6-0-1 Leon Stinks??? ... Ali was 36 which is no excuse ... Floyd fought when he was 38 and went undefeated in 26 World Title Fights... And in the long History of Boxing, Mayweather is the only 5-Division World Champion who finished undefeated... Very few ever had a 20-year pro career that comes anywhere close to the accomplishments of Mayweather.
Ali did a lot of bragging... All too often he couldn't back up his boasts... He was a sad case... Floyd is a businessman with all his mental faculties intact.
Floyd is a POS protected jealous fraud - he knows he's a protected fraud and hates all true great fighters because he knows they make him look like a POS fraud
I can't stand Floyd, but I feel he was better skilled than Ali. IMO, Ali is the most overrated boxer, and probably athlete, of all time. I respect what he had done in his lifetime, and was an incredible humanitarian. A better human being than Floyd. But when we are purely talking about technical boxing skills.....overrated.
bnovelist wrote:Man please! Ali dominated the FEARED Sonny Liston and then he did it AGAIN with George Foreman!
Name one Mayweather fight where he fought someone close to the stature of Liston & Foreman! I dare you!
Oh I forgot a washed up Miguel Cotto, or how about a frail cokehead Ricky Hatton? Yeah!
You're dead boy!
Cotto was dead in his prime when he fought Floyd.. He won the Middleweight Title after he faced Floyd -- he he's 3 years younger than Floyd.. Liston had no stature. He won 1 Title Defense. He was an old man who lost to a Light Heavyweight earlier in his career---an unknown chump who broke Sonny's jaw... Foreman wasn't feared by anemic little Jimmy Young was he??? Foreman was boxed to death with far less than the skills Floyd used to vanquish: De La Hoya, Mosley, Marquez, Pacquiao, and Cotto -- 5 multi-divisional World Champions who won each World Titles in 3 to 8 separate weight divisions.
Bad as Hatton was...he won World Titles at 140 - 147. He beat the legendary Kosta Tszyu.. Ricky was 43-0 when he faced Floyd. An easy night for the master
Cotto was in his prime... Floyd was several years older than Cotto, but he was in his prime too... He needed to be to beat a great fighter like Cotto. A fighter's prime is not his peak.. If you start your pro career at 22 and fight until you're 38 and have a normal progression -- your prime should be about 26 to 36.. You need about 4 years to learn your craft---unless you're matched and managed the way D'Amato plotted the careers of Patterson and Tyson.. Most boxing people can't get that done
But if you're moved at a fair pace it will take you 4 years to learn the game and reach your prime fighting years.. Maybe you're at your physical peak but you're not at your technical peak until much later so maybe your best fight is around 32.. and as your physical ability erodes your technical ability will keep improving, possibly for your whole career.. so when you're 36 you're nearly as good as you were when you were 32.. Or you may even get better until you're 38 and then fall off a cliff like Wladimir Klitschko.. However Cotto at 31 was prime -- and gave the 34-year-old Floyd some sweet jabs in the schnaazola to remember him by.. That was Floyd's toughest fight.
I never compared Hatton with Liston you dumb ass.. Liston was a much better fighter than Hatton...but not as good as Pacquiao, Marquez, De La Hoya, Mosley, or Cotto.. Ali never met that caliber of fighter.. And Ali got drubbed by a very small Heavyweight who was 6-0-1 and a few teeth short of a full set... You can search through Mayweather's career all you want -- nothing like that ever happened to Floyd in his 20 years as a pro.

Not trying to start a fight but it's MUHAMMAD ALI, not Muhammed. It is important to spell his name right.
