Are you drunk? The discussion was entirely about his popularity, not his ability.mickey1975 wrote:If it was that easy to beat Wlad.dirk2686 wrote:What do you mean 'everyone would have done it?' And you seem confused about that; on one hand saying your busload from Donny is proof of some popularity, yet on the other blaming prejudice for his presumed lack of popularity. Sorry mate but I don't even think you know what you're on about anymore!

Re: Tyson Fury says he will takeover in 2017
Gypsies, as a general rule, age terribly. As a group their life expectancy is worryingly low. Tyson and Hughie can both easily pass for over 40 as it stands. Look at the junior am scene, it's full of travellers. They mature earlier than the rest and it shows, but it usually means they fade quicker than most too.
Tyson blows up when not in training. That's never a good sign for a long career. His been pro for the years now too. I don't think he'll be fighting well in to his 30's.
I hope he comes back though, in good shape. I don't want to see him coming back with a half arsed attitude and not doing himself justice.

The life expectancy involves a few things. They are the best juniors in the ams, two now, Charles Frankham and Hopey Price, are incredible. First class international amateurs as kids, I think Price is unbeaten for England, European gold medal, the lot. These guys don't mature physically quicker than anyone else, just have a different mindset. Most are training like full time pros whilst in the ams because they don't have to go to school.

Live and let live, it's not effing difficult is it?
When has words become things that kill?
When has opinion become something venomous?
When has being true to yourself become something to be condemned?
We'll never live in a "live and let live" society, if we also condemn and investigate and criticize and put people in exile for having opposing views that differ from your own. That's what you and so many others have failed to recognize. How can we live in a truly free society in this world, if we pick and choose what is acceptable to hear and see? And worse, we then decide to make such things "criminal" and "ignorant" and "disgusting", etc. in the eyes of not just society, but the law as well.
Sure, the LGBT community has a right to comment on his words, just as much as he has a right to comment on their beliefs. We all have that right to do so. Human beings are rather creative and expressive people, and each individual expresses his or herself in their own unique way. That doesn't make you bad, that makes you yourself.
The fact that Tyson Fury was made something of a villain, because of being his own person, is the real shame. That's the real crime. Because if it can happen to him: it can happen to anyone. Today, it may be this issue or that issue, but what will the next "you cant say that", or "how dare you" to come along? That's the scary thing we live with in our world. Hopefully, an eventual meeting at the crossroads (for society) will come sooner or later, and we shake off these self imposed chains of ours and start to laugh at ourselves again, and quit making mountains out of mole hills and being so damned offended of everything.
Its a wonder any of you have survived into adulthood, if one considers the epic meltdowns and nervous breakdowns people have over certain subjects. It truly is astounding to me, how easily offended people are anymore, and how quick they are to anger and wrath and out for blood just because someone SAYS something you disagree with.

Yeah, living like men when still kids. It's no wonder they excel at junior level. They are 'made' to mature quicker. Often married with kids before they are 20, been working for 6/7 years full time at that point too. Won't help in the long run.mickey1975 wrote:The life expectancy involves a few things. Mate you know boxing doesn't work that way.
Tysoe has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The side effects of the medication are well documented. He by his own admission doesn't look after himself between fights.
He may struggle to even get licenced if he takes his medication.if he doesn't take it, then, well, we'be seen where that leads.
Re: Tyson Fury says he will takeover in 2017
I don't think his bi-polar is that severe, personally. I used to work with people with bi-polar and they were genuinely fornicating nuts. If they were into combat sports or even weights and were just big and strong they'd have to send riot police for them. Most of them were lovely and fantastic fun if you had the energy but they were a fornicating nightmare, wouldn't sleep for days on end, thought they were millionaires, gave away everything, kicked front doors down, take on rooms of blokes... A lot of it was brought on by taking drugs, but all they'd have to do was go out for one binge and that's it, they were absoloutely mental. The fact that he hasn't been sectioned yet has been a heavy drug user speaks volumes: he's just not that unwell.jamesmcdonnell wrote:What does that post even mean?Evander wrote:Really ... any ideas on his clothes hair and lifestyle so I can put it in the society pages of the London Gazette a few years from now too.

fornicate working in whatever unit has to treat a hyper manic Tyson Fury detained on a section 2 or whatever. That's really a special case. He'd be banged up to the eyeballs on medication for everybody's safety (my user name, Clopixol Acuphase, is the strongest injection that you can give somebody to calm down. One jab and you're KO'd for a couple of days. If I could change it now I would but it was just what was in my head at the time). How are we supposed to put him down if he kicks off? Urgh. I often wonder how they dealt with Bruno (who I think has been sectioned in the past). It must have been very difficult. Perhaps he was a gentleman? The genuinely hard patients often are.
Anyway, what I'm saying is that there are lads that if they didn't take drugs, looked after themselves and had their people around them, they'd probably be OK and might not need to take medication. They be a bit "touched", but they wouldn't need to be on Depakote or Lithium which would mean the end of his boxing career, definitely. I think Tyson Fury is one of those people.

I've known several people over the years with bipolar, some in their 20's, they required medication, and when they stopped taking it, as they frequently did, it was usually followed by a period of mania or hypomania that made them do incredibly strange, and sometimes dangerous things.
Oh, and FYI - he's already 28.

Not that severe?
It's a lifelong condition, which has very serious comorbidities for alcohol and drug dependence, and frequent bouts of depression and lethargy, and risk taking behaviours on the upswing, and suicide.
How is that not a serious condition?
