Was a fantastic fight and undercard that. Shame they didn't keep on with the deal regardless of the defeat.

Never saw him fight. I had assumed the big uprising of Sheffield talent died with Fewkes. Was Burkindhaw in any good battles? Any good televised ones?

If you never saw his fight on Spike TV against Klaas Mboyane, you truly missed something special television-wise.

The expert pundits included a Rugby League player, who admitted to having one white-collar fight in his life. They ate fish and chips round a table, and one of the early features of the broadcast was them discussing what alcoholic beverages they'd spend the night drinking. By the end of the broadcast they were all strongly drunk. A moment that was meant to be funny was an out of work actor dressed as a butler, bringing them more alcohol as part of undercard analysis. It wasn't funny.

Worse/better still they got a female underwear model to interview the fighters at ringside. It's not an exaggeration to say she had more on-screen charisma than the people on analysis.

There will truly never be a televised sporting event where the analysis and presentation it that ridiculous ever again.

Oh right, thought you were all kidding!

How was the fight itself?

Can you recommend any Burkinshaw fights?

Ross 'The Boss' was one of Spud's lads wasn't he?

An ex paratrooper, a good little fighter actually and performed well against some good names. :salut:

Weird thing was it was highly enjoyable and if love to see it again.

A bemused Jamie Moore was the expert pundit. He didn't know what was going on in the studio.

Id pay PPV to get that back again.

Imagine Eubank Sr in that studio. Comedy Gold.

I actually hated that at the time, and let Channel Five / Spike TV know about it on Twitter. I probably didn't help in them not bringing the gimmick back too often.

Looking back, it did have a certain so bad it was good quality. I always enjoyed Lauren Frain (the underwear model) who ended up accidentally insulting Ross Burkinshaw every time she spoke to him. I was hoping them two would become regulars on analysis. You didn't really need the bellends in the studio, just them two.
