Pundit is such an arse. He loves European sasauge, and he'll go on about the ridiculous Sven Ottke all day. He loves to say how the likes of Beyer and Kessler are the true kings of the division, and how Lacy, and Calzaghe are cack. blah blah blah. So boring, and full of shit.

I always knew Michael Grant would have gone on to be a Heavyweight great had he not run into Lennox!

Thing is with Vargas I don't know if I agree that he was finished after Trinidad. He didn't look too bad to me last week...

Don't know if I agree with you there Jim.

I too don't think Mosely is the man he was before Vernon Forrest but he was still very competative against Winky Wright who I don't need to tell you is considered one of the very P4P in the world?

Very competitive? How on earth was that a very competitive fight, he got his ears boxed off all night long! If winky was a puncher he would have put his foot on the gas and got him out of there, but Mosley is a tough SOB so Winky didn't want to take any risks, when was the last time Mosley turned in a dominant performance against an A grade opponent.? You have to go some way back.

At least Vargas won a few rounds vs Trinidad and actually put Tito down...Lacy just got dominated in every sense.

No-one else has mentioned this, but did anyone else notice how relaxed Cazaghe was compared to Lacy just before the fight ? While I don't attach too much to these things, I can't recall an instance where it wasn't a good predictor of the outcome, and a few where it was: Lewis-Tyson, Wlad-McCline (and Christie-Burrell at the 1992 Olympics...)

What about Lewis v Rahman. Rahman ran around shooting off his mouth before the fight, and tried to rile Lewis. Lewis goes to sleep in his dressing room before the fight, and Rahman starts unravelling and trying to force his way in. It was like Rahman suddenly realised all his big talk was bluster and that he was going to lose, and lose he did.

Used to love the way Lennox had a kip before a big fight. Incredible.

I actually sometimes try to have a 10-20 minute nap before going to work out and would swear I work out a lot better when I've done so.

I was talking about the rematch? I thought Mosely was competitive... Lost a majority decision....

Even if you didn't agree with the decision he wasn't outclassed..

Paula Radcliffe is another who sleeps something like 12 hours a day.

I'm a bit weird when it comes to preperation prior to sports. When playing football and Rugby I would like to be on my own just chilling prior to the match - often to the extent that the captain would try and gee me up.

When boxing, I like to be on the pads all the time. I never used to like fighting on our home shows cause the coach would be in the corner most of the time and the only warm up I could do was a bit of knee raises (and you looked a prat doing that).

I would have certainly done what Kevin Kelley did prior to the Naz fight and actually work the pads in the ring.

I was a little bit worried when i saw the pre-fight interview with Joe....thought he was a bit too relaxed...but when it showed you Joe on the pads, then Lacy i had no worries....Lacy looked ponderous.. and Joe looked lightning.
