Beside Golovkin's sickness or injury, can anything help Jacobs to be ready in 10 weeks ?
First they said that he was going to spar Khytrov, Derevyanenko and Khurtsidze. Now he is going to Hunter's gym: http://www.ringtv.com/479380-virgil-hun ... cobs-camp/ , Algieri will be his nutritionist and of course the Son of God himself will be present
I think Hunter can only help Jacobs to survive longer.
My worry with Hunter as trainer is that DJ will be too defensive minded. I think he needs to get GGG's respect offensively (which he never did vs Pirog), and while he may last longer I think DJ's chances go down if he's highly cautious, on his bike, and not throwing much.
A flighty, punch weary performance is what he needs to stay clear of.

I dont think it is. IMO it's been shown in several fights that being flighty and not letting your hands go much isn't generally the best approach against GGG, and I dont see DJ being an exception
If he doesnt get GGG's respect, and assuming he doesnt quickly bomb GGG out, he'll face even more pressure, and I dont think he's the type who will like that.
Im not saying Jacobs should look for a brawl, but I do think he should be fairly busy offensively, and be willing to throw powershots in combo.
