Ricky Hatton talks about depression
Re: Ricky Hatton talks about depression
Random memory that just popped in my head. Remember when Hatton went on that TV show, the fittest athletes type thing trying to find out which sport was fittest and was absolutely awful cos he'd let himself go out of shape between camps, hahaha. That was embarassing for boxing.

I believe that too, met him a few years after his last fight, defiantly packed in at the right time, it would be tragic to see him make a comeback.mickey1975 wrote:You're being silly. Ricky isn't fit to fight and never will be again.

im not talking about him topping the bill at the men, im talking about him and witter sorting out unfinished business as the main support to a big fight.

I read Hattons 'Vegas Tales' book a while back and he and Witter get on now.

I remember reading something Jeremy Clarkson had written about the programme (must have been bored) and he asked "can somebody tell me just who Ricky Hatton is?" So it must have been before Hatton became famous.
Funny how you remember little things like that forever.

Didn't Joe Frazier do one of those shows and nearly drown?

It was Superstars, massive in the 80's, especially when Kevin Keegan fell off his bike. Ricky addresses it in his book. A Hatton out of training was never going to do well...
