Ryder v Etches
See it has been announced on the Eubank Jr undercard.
Who you got?
Personally looking forward to this fight.

Re: Ryder v Etches
Very good fighter iv favoured Ryder in a few fights he hasn't performed in so I'm picking etches here purely based on that maybe I overtake him price v hammer too this is turning into a good card
Re: Ryder v Etches
Funnily enough I was just 2 minutes ago speaking to my mate from school on facebook who's a relative of Adams about it. I think Ryder is made for etches, strong come forward fighter who has respectable power but not iron fisted. Adam should have the superior boxing skills and power. Will be a good fight this.
I know adam has a very bad ko loss against komitsky (excuse the spelling) and Ryder outboxed him, but that was a down to a power shot and lack of head movement. I'd be certain that head movement has been worked on and I'm not convinced Ryder has that power shot in his arsenal.

Was just about the make this thread! Add a poll mate, interested to see how people see this going. I like Ryder but he can be frustrating to watch, get the feeling that he's better than what he shows a lot of the time. My memory of the Arnfield fight is't great but I vaguely remember it being a close fight that could have gone either way, and then one judge came out with a stupidly wide card.
Anyway, Etches was fairly highly rated until Khomitsky cleaned him out in devastating fashion. Etches seems to be a bit of a puncher and Ryder isn't one to run so this should make for a well-matched, entertaining fight imo.

Re: Ryder v Etches
I'd fancy Ryder to outwork Etches in a good close fight but as someone's already mentioned he's flattered to deceive in his last few outings.

Re: Ryder v Etches
Really rate Ryder on a good day but he's has far to many bad ones.
Ryder in form wins this via mid-late round stoppage if he's on song.

Re: Ryder v Etches
Good match this, not easy to call but I'd lean towards Ryder
Re: Ryder v Etches
Cross roads fight for both lads. Fight is also up at super middleweight. Can't see what the losers next move wud b. I fancy ryder to outbox etches who I've never really rated .
Re: Ryder v Etches
Echo the comments about this being a good fight.
I would be interested to see how many rounds it is. Not yet listed on BoxRec.
I can see Etches landing on Ryder, but if Ryder can take the shot(s) then can see him getting a points decision.

Been told 12 rounds for Ibf intercontinental title.
Re: Ryder v Etches
Ryder needs the win and I think he'll get a points decision or later rounds stoppage over Etches. Good match up.
Re: Ryder v Etches
good fight for etches this one.......ko ryder and he is knocking on the door of the european title!

Etches - 23/17
Draw - 22/1
Ryder - 4/5
judging by the poll it might be worth a few quid on Ryder...

Re: Ryder v Etches
Thought Etches looked fleshy at weigh in Ryder late stoppage for me
Re: Ryder v Etches
Rider should be able to box his way to a decision here, but if he gets dragged into a war that would suit Etches.
Good fight this, both men need a decent win at this stage.

Re: Ryder v Etches
I thought Rider deserved the nod against Arnfield personally. But it was close and Ryders head down plodding forward approach (which he does far too often) worked against him.ElJefe wrote:Was just about the make this thread!
