Sticking up for himself? Frank has been down a million times, he even got shot, and people still put the boot in!

I agree - also, Audley is hardly on his uppers - he is living in the American sunshine counting his £millions

Harrison's opinion didn't warrant a response.

Not only was about as far from reality as he possibly could be, it was attempting to make his own rubbish career by commenting on another person's career. The Eubanks should ingore Harrison's waffle. So should Warren really.

It was a funny read, because he was so deluded. But other than that there isn't a reason a blog on Audley's forum should be considered newsworthy.

Can't argue with Frank Warren there.

"There was nothing long-term about it and there never was in any subsequent agreements we reached. The reason for this? You kept on losing.

If you remember correctly, you actually came to me in 2005 – when the BBC finally tired of the dross you were serving up to a prime time terrestrial audience – for a fight against Williams and signed a contract accordingly.
When Williams beat you, that contract was null and void. Done with.

You went off to the States, losing to Dominick Guinn, before winning against another opponent with a losing record. You then came back to me asking for a rematch with Williams, signing another contract and winning the fight.

Three months later, you will recall, you fought Michael Sprott at Wembley and got knocked out in three rounds. End of contract with me
."

Can't really argue with that. If a boxers keeps losing and losing and losing, then he can't complain about not getting title shots or massively BIG paydays. It just doesn't happen, let's have it right.

That's the kind of fighter Audley was.
Agreed, if we are going to be honest about it, Audley was small-time. I've said it before;
Crease wrote:Audley could still have a tidy little earner for himself if he keeps himself in good shape. Audley still has decent boxing skill and he does carry a good bit of power (when he commits to his shots) so he could still be in the World rankings around 70-100ish.

As long as he doesn't see himself as the big deal anymore and he's willing to be more realistic with his expectations, maybe score some obscure belt like the European Union Heavyweight Title, and beat up a load of journeymen fighters.

If I were his Manager, I would tell him to look at:
Anthony Joshua recently winning the WBC International Title (by beating Denis Bakhtov)
Also, Andy Ruiz Jr who has been defending his WBO Intercotinental Title.

These titles may be virtually meaningless and have no lineage whatsoever, but for slightly-better-than-run-of-the-mill guys like Audley they can be valuable trinkets that they can make their own and would add a bit of prestige for his fights and he can say stuff like: "I'm defending my title" etc...

This would also help Audley with becoming regular mid-card filler around the British boxing scene, he wouldn't even have to leave the country. It could be a handy wee earner for him.

I had forgotten Audley got iced by Wilder too... I even thought he had a chance. The Audley 'Derren Brown' effect.

Anyway, I believe Harrison has a personal boxing achievement that can NEVER be taken away from him or his legacy - anyone remember what it is?

Exactly, Audley isn't really a difficult guy to tear to pieces. not sure how Warren comes out of this with any respect from anyone.

Yeah, just think Aud is a pretty deluded figure, for years routinely laughed at and mocked by the whole boxing community for his spectacularly imploded career - I mean the guy REALLY crashed to earth, and very easy to tear him to pieces. Frank should have risen above it and just rolled his eyes. Of course that was never gonna happen

Im not sure that is realistic. If someone attacks you without any apparent good reason then you are more than entitled to point out the facts and defend yourself. Silence can sometime imply acceptance. I think Frank was more than justified and it is no concern of his if Audley is largely a figure of ridicule within pro boxing. Audley shouldnt be setting himself up. The responsibility lies squarely with him.

What would you have done in that situation?

Parcel Force started the row & Warren quite rightly responded with some home truths.

Harrison needs to remember that if you play in water, you will get wet!

Ultimately if audley wants to go public with business dealings, he can't cry when warren does the same. I have no problem with this. Once again, if it was Eddie instead of Frank everyone would GE dreaming themselves and saying what a lad he is.

I think there is probably a bit more to the points being made here. Whilst Warren may very well be correct in that Harrison repeatedly losing effectively terminated contracts he'd signed, that doesn't stop those contracts being something of a handcuffs job had Harrison kept winning.

Not sure Audley had many places to go after several losses; his career was a bit of a disaster given how it began; not far off Joshua ending up losing fights against the likes of Gary Cornish and getting a career best performance out of a revenge-mission win against David Price. But I think we've all seen enough ex-fighters end up in arguments with Warren to understand that there is probably a lot more than one side to the story here.

And in terms of fighters going in with repeated under-par opposition, this again seems just a little hypocritical from Warren. Calzaghe was kept on a very average diet under him.

nice one frankie boy, it was one of the boxing highlights of my career as a fan/fanatic...... seeing audley absolutely banjo'd by sprotty. 'i beat the count but the referee thought i was unfit to carry on' said audley. Trust me son, if the count had been 30 you would not have made it.

incidentally..a close second is medina fornicating over broner, that was worthy of ppv status alone.

audley...just go away, we one loved your hair beads and your rhymes at the olympics, since then you have been nothing but clout.

I'm 100% behind Frank on this one. Audley is the only person to blame for his career.

Disappointing from Parcel Force to play the race card.

There's only one reason whay his career flopped & that's because he was sh!t!

Plain & simple.

Yeah, I remember hooting with laughter when he said that, he was laid out like he was on a morticians slab. Shows just how delusional he is. He wouldn't have made it to his feet if they'd jacked 40,000 volts through his nutsack.
