Team Parker pursuing Wilder for unification clash

Team Parker pursuing Wilder clash

David Higgins of Duco, promoter of WBO champion Joseph Parker, said the heavyweight division needs to unify but he has had difficulty contacting Al Haymon to discuss details for a clash between Parker and WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

"We like what Wilder is saying. He is of the same view as us. That the heavyweight division needs to unify the champions,” Higgins said.

“It’s all a matter of risk and reward, but a risky fight is worth it if the circumstances are right.

“The key guy is Al Haymon and we are yet to hear from him in terms of making a deal. So to Al Haymon: If you are serious about Wilder and Joseph, please give us a call.

“It might be that Wilder wants the fight and Haymon doesn’t. But Wilder’s comments were pretty straightforward and I think he deserves credit for wanting to pursue that.”

Deontay Wilder :

"They are talking about fighting in April and I'd love to come back and fight again in April."

At lot of fighters wouldn't do it, come straight back ... but I want to make a great impression in 2017."

"If all goes well with this fight, I wouldn't mind turning right around and coming back and fighting Joseph Parker to unify the division with his WBO belt and my WBC belt, and do it that way."

Hey team Parker: Dont hold your breath - Haymon is not going to risk his fraud cash cow against Parker any time soon - it's just fraud namedropping to try to boost WIlder's credibility while he keeps handpicking patsies controlled or bought off by Haymon

Based on recent performances I dont see Wilder having any problems with Parker.

I'm an unashamed Joseph Parker fan, but if they fought in April, I think Wilder's power and awkwardness would be too much for Joe.

Parker needs a lot of work if he's to beat the top guys. Wilder, Povetkin, Pulev, AJ, Wlad, and Ortiz beat him right now IMO, with some of them doing a number on him.

He's very young and I think he'll get better if handled properly, but at this point I don't see him doing well in a fight like this.

It's obvious what this creature is trying to do - monopolize and control the sport like mcmahon runs WWE - you're just too naive to realize what's up - Schaefer and Dibella are Haymon puppets - when Arum passes in a few years Haymon will control the sport in America and he will shun and discriminate against the best eastern europeans - Haymon will protect his stable just like he protected Floyd for a decade and his protecting Stevenson and Wilder - wake UP :shame:

Wilder just talks and talks and talks, but in the end he only wants a cashcow fight or a bum. Parker is neither, so Wilder and his team would never dare this. Unifying t0alks is only used to get the AJ fight, nothing else.
