I'm picking Degale by decision but 5s is indeed good value. Might have a bitGlobalBox wrote:Taken 5s for Degale inside the distance. Just feel that is a little big, I think he wins the fight and he does look in great shape and hopefully the engine is a bit better, Jack's stoppage against Edwards may well have been a fluke but as 5s it seems a bit of value to see if Degale can replicate that.

Also quite like Paddypowers 9/4 jack to be knocked down in the fight
Re: Betting thread
I have had a few bets on degale early stoppage covering some individual rounds and groups. Got a feeling he is going to take him out.

Lara over price is real good. Does Lara even knockout any legit boxers? Is Foreman really worst defensively than Martiyosan. The style wise has the making for the over.Jmashyaka wrote:Lara is a dangerous guy to play the under with he is so cautious which makes hard to predict. I think dirrell vs nesampati is better for the under.JimGunn wrote:After looking into Yuri Foreman's recent weak opposition and reading Erislandy Lara's prediction for a fast KO to try to get bigger fights soon, plus recalling Lara stopping Jan Zaveck in three rounds last time he fought in Hialeah, I'm playing an under prop at plus money on this showcase fight on Spike TV this Friday night.
Erislandy Lara/Yuri Foreman doesn't start round 7 (+103) ~$90.80 for ~$93.52

What a beautiful uppercut by Lara for the round 4 KO!

The punch clearly didn't land. Foreman wouldn't get a job on the Brady bunch with that kind of acting. Terrible.

Re: Betting thread
Looks to me that Foreman kinda took a dive, but I'm not complaining coz I had the Lara under. I got lucky with Dirrell and went for u7, nemesapati has a very good chin, i was scared something was gunna happen to him like Gutkneckt or Blackwell if it carried on.

Re: Betting thread
Waiting on my footy bets today to see how big, or little, i can go on the Degale/Pedraza decision double at a shade over 3/1.

What you guys thinking about this Ryder vs Etches match up? Im slightly leaning to Etches, Ryder seems to always lose in match ups he should be winning.

I'll take that bet! :-) Well done on the Lara under. I do not bet every weekend just when I see good value.JimGunn wrote:I passed on "boxingknucklehead stops trolling and adds a substantive post to the discussion or posts bets of his own" with the line at +5000. I believe it also has the potential to be close on the judges' scorecards, possibly ending in a split or majority decision. So I bet those props and a few bucks on draws as well. My full action for this coming weekend, every play at + money.
Anthony Dirrell/Norbert Nemesapati doesn't start round 6 (+120) ~$45.40 for ~$54.48
Erislandy Lara/Yuri Foreman doesn't start round 7 (+103) ~$90.80 for ~$93.52
Gervonta Davis (+130) vs Jose Pedraza $100.00 for $130.00
Gervonta Davis will win by KO (+254) vs Jose Pedraza ~$26.33 for ~$66.88
Badou Jack (+235) vs James DeGale $125.00 for $293.75
Badou Jack wins by majority decision (+1450) $8.00 for $116.00
Badou Jack wins by split decision (+825) $12.00 for $99.00
James DeGale wins by split decision (+750) $12.00 for $90.00
Badou Jack/James DeGale majority decision draw (+6000) $8.00 for $480.00
Badou Jack/James DeGale split decision draw (+2600) $2.00 for $52.00![]()

But... just to make a bet I believe Badout at 4.0 (3/1) at betfair or 3.75 at paddypower are worth a small bet. I'm not sold by Jack but Degale can be lazy.
The only other value I see is Degale Ko which you can catch at 5.5 (9/2) given that Badou has been belted in one round before.
Take your pick.
Re: Betting thread
You hemmed and hawed a little here but based on what I read did you just take a position and actually bet Jack and maybe hedge it with a DeGale KO prop? You didn't specify units staked either, but it sounds like we're on the same side and you have to root for me now like it or not.boxingknockout wrote:I'll take that bet! :-) Well done on the Lara under. Hey Jim - sorry didn't mean to be rude, I had my tongue in cheek. I'm not a hater.
I wasn't sure which to take - one or the other - not both. I've taken a SMALL bet (£10) on Degale Ko. I reckon he will prob win on points but I am unconvinced about Jack chin and skills
Re: Betting thread
Davis been backed in to 8/11 and Pedraza out to 11/10. Completely wrong in my opinion. When the price is wrong you have to punt accordingly. Have taken the Pedraza single.

Re: Betting thread
Pedraza time is up couldn't believe he was the favorite to start with. Betting 101 a fighter with not world class power always good for a robbery if the A side doesn't win straight away. Davis is a TMT fighter and this a Mayweather card. He might not need the judges but it helps to have them on your side if needed.DSW wrote:Davis been backed in to 8/11 and Pedraza out to 11/10. And because I just don't have enough bets on this main event tonight I added a point spread prop, so crossing fingers that DeGale doesn't KO Jack
Badou Jack +12½ points (-135) vs James DeGale $101.25 for $75.00
