Without wanting to sound disrespectful, I struggle to see how someone who trains for a living can put on so much weight. The training involved, if done properly, to fight up to 4 or 5 times a year should keep anyone in shape.
Looking at your record on here you were getting something right, weight wise from 2010 - 2012. You managed 11 bouts around the 238 mark, not a bad weight for an active 6'2" guy
Did you struggle with diet at other times? Did you train properly?
I do sympathise that some people do have "bad DNA" and naturally struggle more than others but I struggle to get my head round how someone who trains virtually the whole year round can't keep their weight Chaunc
Again apologies if this comes across a bit cheeky, there's not many polite sounding ways to ask someone why they struggle to keep their weight down.
No need to apologize my man, we're on a public forum and remember, hearing about weight is same same to me as it's been a life issue.
To answer your questions... 2010 to 2012 the weight was down but I was at my weakest but will admit I was much faster. My biggest thing was even losing all the weight I still had bitch tits and was considered "out of shape" even though I was going 12 rounds with ease. It was crazy and then we lost 10 more lbs and flat out couldn't lose anymore after hitting 225 and the more we trained the more we gained so went with a new approach and that would work for a little then steady out again. It was nuts and frustrating at the same time. I just learned to go in to fights knowing I could go hard for 12 as it wasn't a body building comp so I felt great and at peace with myself.
My problem has been with after boxing. I've gained over 100lbs. Do I eat more than your average bear (literally)? Probably. But the beauty is when my guys don't have sparring I can jump in and go 4 or 5 easily still. Maybe not sharp but active.
Going 12 rounds is the hard part! I've never managed more than four. You should consider a little TRT or something see if that helps you, I've heard great things about it for fat loss especially in guys over 35. Thanks for posting
